Tuesdays with lyn ;-)

I knew there was a reason I didn't like Cats.. seems like that's the noise they make while in heat..and therefore their owner probably put them out because of the racket!! hmm....oh well then as long as the cats okay I feel better....I will let you know if it goes away which it should if it is indeed just in heat... good job we females don't make that noise when in heat huh??  :-P

So day two of the D word. I know I am not supposed to call it that but it is what it is..it's a diet to me. And when I am at a more desirable weight I will modify my lifestyle. I couldn't eat like this for the rest of my life because I would waste away!  I went to the YMCA which is another big deal for me.. believe it or not I am very self conscious to try new things..to walk into that gym full of people and walk to the back and get on the treadmill all by myself was a very big deal to me and I am really proud of myself!! I worked myself up into a right state before walking in there and it was no big deal..nobody gave me the time of day let alone looked at me funny!they were too busy working out and that was just great with me! I would have died if someone talked to me..is that strange or what? Talk about letting you in on all my idiosyncrasies huh? so I walked for 45 minutes..worked up a good sweat and feel terrific! my goal is to walk for 45 minutes 5 times a week.

enough of that.

Hubby has completed the painting in True beauty's room..the new ceiling fan is up..the Security guys came today and installed our new home security system..try breaking in now ;-) ha! I can't tell you how relieved I am to have this. I will now be able to travel without worrying that some little thug has broken in to my home. Speaking of which. ...the kid that I believe broke into my home is in jail for home invasion. he was "just" driving the getaway car though. He will be going down for a very long time and I hope that he sees the error of his ways while locked up. At the end of the day he is somebody's son and I know I would be heart broken if my son did that. God forbid.

Hope you are all having a good week so far... I leave you with my five...

L

1. I ate well yesterday and so far today  ... ;-0

2.. Will power...

3... hubby and his honey-do list...LOL

4.... That the cat is only in heat....

5..... I did it!! I joined the gym and I went all by myself....

I hate people talking to me at the gym too.  I am just not a chatty person on those environments.  Keep on keeping on!

Well, I'm back from "sick bed". HA!  Hubby gets sick...he sleeps 20 hours. (With the exception of getting up to eat dinner & watch a couple hours of tv). Not that he wasn't sick, but where is everyone when "Gramma" is sick Sigh Anyway. Way to go with your "D". I've been away form journaling a while and when I saw the big "D" I'm like, What?? LOL Keep up the good work. I wish I had the will and desire.
Have a good week. Barb

Lyn have you thought about Weight Watchers? It's a GREAT program and it's really not a diet, they teach you how to eat, encourage excercise, etc. It's truly easy and truly a great program!!

Great job at the gym!!

Actually, I know SOME women who do make that noise when in heat. ;O) B. x

hmmm.. i think I might be one of "those" women LOL

LMAO!! I'm sorry but I have a cat in heat now, she is just a tiny little thing and she makes the most hellacious noise. Poor Pickles takes her paws and covers her head.
Good for you on the "D" thing. It really is a bad word isn't it. Even more Kudo's to you for having the courage to walk into the Y and work out. You will be an old hand at it in no time. (Hugs) Indigo

I would find it hard to join a gym too.  I like to blend with the scenery.  but, good for you.  You are really motivating me.  Made me look at the changes that I have had also.  Now I will have to see waht I can do.  (No, not join a gym, I would freak)

Yes cats do make an bad sound when they are in heat. That is why mine are fixed.... well for other reasons as well. I know that you do not like new things, but I also know that once you get started you will feel so much better.

Lyn, congrats on joining the Y and going to tread all by yourself!  I know that is tough to do.  I am rooting for you all the way!

Congrats to getting everything off to a good start!  Keep up the good work!  I always dread getting on my treadmill, but once I am on it and walking away I kind of secretly enjoy it.  I know...I'm wierd!

Well done on getting yourself to the gym.  I am sure that you will be feeling better about it all soon, with all the exercising and that. I remember going to a keep fit class and I seemed to be the only one with two left legs and kept going the wrong way, copying the instructor!  Being big boobed all the jumping things were quite uncomfortable too.  However, I always came home feeling good, maybe I should start again too.  Hugs.  Terry x

Well done you're a braver woman than I going into a gym. Hope you have a bucket of water ready for that cat you should hear the racket when they actually mate horrendous.

Not a cat person either. Altho they are cute when they are kittens, lol
Great job at the Y! It is hard walking into a room full of strangers to work out so I commend you for doing that :)

Have a great day!

Gretchen

I didnt comment in the last entry, just to see if you figured out it was in heat. I never owned a cat, but heard our neighbors do that all the time. Use to scare the crap out of us kids.
CONGRATS on the gy. Awesome. Your gonna be the sexiest mama at the pool soon !! *well you already are in my book!
hugs,
E.

wow, i am so proud of you for going to the gym. I know EXACTLY how you feel......just keep a positive attitude and you will watch the lbs drop off. So glad you got the security  working and that the painting is done too.

I'm the same way about anything where attention might fall on me, I hate it, makes me wish Cindy & I had our own treadmill here in the house so I wouldn't have to get out in public.  I'm proud of you for doing so - so many of us can't :(  glad that you figured out the cat was in heat ROFL - it's a awful caterwalling...Kissy (the little cat) isn't "fixed" yet so she goes into heat, she just doesn't scream like that, she mews constantly and that's enough to drive you bonkers LOL.  Hugz, Teresa

Well at least that's solved that mystery ;-)  I didn't realise you had a bloke break into your house that must've been awful but at least your security system is up now.  Well done hubby for finishing the room and keep going on your diet.  I would've been the same if i had gone into the gym too.
