Good evening campers!
Well a lot has happened since yesterday morning. Best news is Brandon is home..he is Ryan's best friend that has been battling leukemia since dec 2005. He is finally in remission and well enough to come home. he still needs to supplement his food with a feeding tube at night and still has his chest port in but other than that he is doing SO good! I had to fight back tears last night because his Mum finally felt he was well enough to come over our house (Ryan has been over there a few times) It was like old times..Brandon and Ryan just chilling at my house on a Friday night...;-)
True Beauty's furniture arrived..we had the delivery guys set it up..then after they leave of course we decide we don't like where it is so proceed to move it ourselves.. the dresser was so heavy and at one point I almost dropped it and my finger got bent all the way back... if hubby didn't have the camera I would take a pic and show you my lovely purple finger... the room looks absolutely gorgeous and I am more than happy... pics to follow...
Seems there is trouble in paradise on the golf course..anyone who knows my hubby will tell you that he is the most easy going laid back person there is however he has a terrible temper.. I have only seen him truly lose it twice during our 30 years together....well one of the guys that went on the trip is known for his "attitude" usually they all laugh and joke about it..he is always bitching an moaning about something..he is tight with his money and a sore loser..well I guess he has been complaining from day one on this trip..didn't like the route they took..didn't like the first golf course..one thing after another.. bear in mind my hubby arranged this whole trip..booked everything etc so I imagine he is taking it personally that this guy is not having a good time..all my hubby ever wants is for everyone to be happy...I don't know all the details yet as hubby has not called me since yesterday afternoon but apparently him and the other guy got into it.. I sure hope for the other guys sake that hubby didn't truly lose his temper because he is no one to mess with...he is a 6' 3" lean mean fighting machine ...just kidding but you truly wouldn't want to mess with him.. the reason he hasn't called me is because he knows that I will rip whatever is left of that little bastard to shreds for ruining their trip...I feel so bad about this..hubby was looking forward to this for so long..I will let you know the details after I talk to hubby..
I did a little yard work today..felt good to get my hands in the dirt... it has been really warm here..I think it was almost 80 today...
Hope you are all having a great weekend...

Oh my... sorry to hear about that finger, but atleast the furniture looks great. Imgine how upset you would be if you had the purple finger and didn't like the furniture....lol... gotta find a bright spot somewhere... How wonderful about Brandon! The getting better I mean. I think its just a rotten shame that things like that would happen to anyone, let alone kids.
Men and their sports....lol
There's always someone who seems tio ruin things. Why is that? I sure hope yor hubby ignores him and has a good time. I can't wait to see the pics fo the furniture. :)

loving you
karyl
your font is sooo small tonight that I really cant read it :(
Your poor son's friend has cancer and there's your husbands friend whining like a baby after your dear huby took care of everything. Introduce him to the poor sick boy and teach him a lesson. He should stop complaining and appreciate everything he has!
80 degrees? OK, I am very jealous. Although it DID make it into the 50's here today, so I'll take it. I am SO sick of winter!!!
((hugs))

My youngest son's best friend died of a brain tumour when he was only twelve years old. He had been battling brain cancer since he was five. It was really sad when he finally passed away, yet a relief at the same time as his suffering was finished. That was a difficult year for my Bruce as it was also the year his dad and I got divorced. sorry to hear your husband's golf trip is not going as well as it could. perhaps next year they can leave the whinger behind! Enjoy what's left of your weekend, I know I'm going to!

I'm so glad that Ryan's best friend is doing well enough to get out and about. Did you get your finger xrayed?? I hate it when there is someone whining about trivial things. Especially sorry that the trip is being ruined.
Can't wait to see True Beauty's new room. I guess Spring fever is setting in as I am ready for new EVERYTHING! LOL Take care of that finger.
Hugs, Barb
Pleased to hear that Brandon is doing so good, that is a real relief for all and it must have really been lovely to see the boys together chilling at your house just like old times, ahhh. Cancer sucks but it can be cured and this is really great to hear. So, you have got all the room done, thats good but shame about your finger. I bet it looks lovely. Oooh, I know a few moaners like your husband's friend, they would probably have a better time if they left him at home next time. I hope there hasn't been murder on the golf course. Hope the rest of your weekend is lovely Lynn. Hugs, Terry x

They say things happen in 3's don't they? Your finger, Hubbys upset, but most importantly, Brandon. That is such good news, it bought a lump to my throat and I am sure it did to you too when you saw your son, chillin, with his mate.
Keep well Lyn....... Hope your finger gets better.
Gaz xx
Good news about Brandon.
Shame about your hubby's trip being spoiled. There's always one isn't there?
Hope the finger is akoay. B. x
I'm NOT whinging, honest, but I had a hard time reading this entry because of the small font and the colours. Managed it in the end though. I sort of hoped Hubby might have lamped Moaning Minnie but on the other hand, was it worth the effort? Angie, x
Usually all we hear about are the females acting like big babies so this is a switch. I hope your DH is able to find some fun on this long awaited trip. Cant wait to see the pics.
I am glad Brandon is in remission. What a blessing.
love, lisa jo
There is always one who is going to spoil it. I hope hubby put him in his place.

Lyn glad Ryans friend Brandon is in remission and is over at your house chilling out ~ lol at you rearranging the furniture sorry you hurt your finger though ~ Make sure hubby dosn't take that chap on their golfing trips in future he sound like a real whinger ~ Lovely warm day here ~ warm enough to go into the garden ~ Ally x
I continue to pray for Ryan, knowing that all though he's in remission his family and I'm sure he still faces great fears and still many trials ahead, it's all worth it, but can be difficult. Most don't realize the long term effects of chemo and radiation has on their body and brain. :( Glad that he was able to have a day/evening where I'm sure he felt like just a regular kid hanging out with his friend. They need and so deserve that.
That's terrible that the guy can't just shut his mouth and be thankful someone went and planned out a whole trip for him and others and just enjoy their golfing trip. Maybe getting your husband's wrath is just what he needs...personally I think it's the ones who yell the most and loudest are normally the biggest whimps ultimately and run with their tails inbetween their legs when the going gets tough.
God Bless
I was unaware about Brandon, but will send him my prayers. My youngest son has had a very best friend since junior high that he is thick as thieves with. His friend even wanted my son to go on his honeymoon with him! I can't imagine how it would have affected either one of them if the other had cancer. I'm so glad that Ryan has his best friend over and there was a bit of "normalicy" in their lives for a while. Let's hope it's for keeps.
Maybe that prat won't come the next time. No one should have to put up with a personality like that on a holiday. The rest of the guys should have backed your husband instantly so the fool knew that HE was the one that was wrong. Miserable sod.
Hugs,
Susie
