ANNIVERSARIES...
Today is my 26th Wedding Anniversary.. Happy Anniversary baby....it is also the 6th Anniversary of my Mum's passing...I still miss her..because we lived so far apart and I didn't see her very often it was very very difficult for me to accept that she really was gone..I just kept thinking of her in the way that I think of all my family..I usually think of them several times a day.. I will look at the time and figure out what time it is in England and think about what they might be doing..It didn't really hit me until I went home last year and she wasn't there at the airport..or at their house.. and when I finally saw her headstone it hit me..she really was dead...it was very hard for me.. we didn't have the best of relationships..my Mum had issues..I think in all honesty she suffered from depression and definitely went through something when she hit menopause.. I wonder what she may have been like if she got help..she was sooooooooooooooo moody and bitchy and mostly took it out on me.. that is why when I act that way I am terrified I am turning in to her.. the one way to totally piss me off is to say I am acting like my Mother..which Dh will do if he really really wants to get to me... We did get along better later in life..when I had moved away.. but she still took things out on me..I remember one fo the the last times I was home she hit me across the face in front of my kids.. my daughter screamed at her to stop..my dad was mortified and everyone got to see how it was growing up in my house.. the only good thing that came out of it was the fact that I was and still am determined to have a better relationship with my own daughter.. and I am so happy to say that we are best friends.. I don't always agree with her choices but I do not judge her or give her ultimatums.. I love her unconditionally....I can only remember my Mum telling me she loved me maybe twice in my whole life...one was when I saw her last before her illness.. I am grateful for that... so Mum you may be gone but you are not forgotten.. and I forgive you for everything.. I know you did the best you could and you loved me in your own way....good night god bless.......

'ello...'ello?? is that an echo I hear???
Good Morning Campers!!!
And I bet a few of you are actually camping this morning huh?? seeing as it is a Bank Holiday in the UK and Memorial Day here stateside...first and foremost I would like to remember our service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice giving their lives for our freedom...I would also like to thank all our Veterans past and present...especially my own hubby who has 26 years under his belt and is still Active Duty....and a special shout out to all the Military spouses out there for your support!
So...this Blogger thing...it's dying a slow death huh?? while it's sad I will continue to write because as much as I love all the comments this Blog is for me..it's my way of keeping a "record" of what's going on in my little neck of the woods...anyone who wants to know what you are doing every second of every day go to face book...to be honest I don't really get it...I will write a blurb here and there but do I feel the need to tell you every time I take a breath..go to the loo or drink a cup of coffee...not so much!! LOL.... and all the poking..the gifts..the surveys..who the hell has the time?? not to mention how it slows up the computer....but to those of you addicted fair play to you...to each their own... I am happy I have face book because at least it lets me know that you are all alive and well..but well I just miss everyone writing more than just one liners... :-(
It has been a soggy and miserable week here in Florida..it has rained every single day since last Sunday...we have had more than 12 inches of rain..our yard is a soggy mess..water seeped under the foundation of the garage and it smells so nasty in there....I think I know now why Florida has no basements...they would have been swimming pools for sure....as someone who has become accustomed to spending her afternoons out by the pool or puttering around the garden I have been going stir crazy....I have watched way too much stupid TV..I have been in a foul mood so has him indoors...because if he's indoors that means he's not playing golf either....;-) Anyway it was long week and I am happy to report that the sun was out for a couple of hours yesterday and there is hope for a couple more sunny hours today...YAY!!
Ryan graduates Friday...(fingers and everything else crossed) True Beauty is Employee of the month for the third time in 14 months...the dog was neutered..we did this so my FIL can watch him while we go on vacation as they have a female Yorkie....he did fine and I was very impressed with the nice folks at Clay County Animal Hospital....hubby had part 4 of his Periodontal work done...didn't improve his grumpy mood much but he is all healed now and back to eating normally...I am looking forward to our Vacation on Myrtle Beach next month...I know some of you think my whole life is a vacation but trust me a change of scenery is always nice... ;-)
That's about it in a nutshell...enjoy your holiday today and I guess I'll see you on face book!! ;-)

FRUSTRATED!
Good Morning Campers...
Anyone else having trouble uploading photos?? I wanted to post the grad pics of Ryan... I think I posted them last year but they aren't visible on the blog from AOL anymore so I wanted to have them on here..if you remember he had his pics done last year because all his friends graduated a year ahead of him...oh well..I will just have to do it later...I was happy to see that all my pics from my old blog did make it to Photo works when I backed them up before AOL deleted them all...
I have been an emotional wreck this week..for Ryan's senior project he needed a bunch of pics of him and the family through the years...of course any time I go through the photos I get sentimental..to see him from a baby ..with his white blond hair and chubby little face to where he is now all 6' 6" of him is just amazing..it seems to have flown by in a flash....I can't believe he is finally graduating...he came home with his cap and gown other day and that made me get a lump in my throat...all the arguments..the frustration..the having to get up at 5.45 every morning for the last 4 years to make sure he got his butt out of bed and got to school..all the fighting for his rights with his learning disability...the constant complaining from him...my refusal to let him drop out and just get his GED...every second of it was worth it to see him finally graduate...I am beyond proud...I was just as proud of True Beauty but she did not have to overcome the same struggles as her brother and when she graduated she was so involved with her boyfriend that she missed out on all the grad fun...Ryan is way more sociable and making a lot more memories that's for sure...it saddened me then that she missed out on so much and I think her seeing how much fun her brother is having is making her realize she sacrificed a lot by being so tied down so young...and she is still hanging on with this boy..granted she sees way less of him but he is still hanging over us like a dark shadow...but that's a whole other post!! this is a happy post!! My boy is graduating!! YES!!!
Nothing much else to report from my neck of the woods...hubby still does not have any orders...he is frustrated...to tell you the truth I am getting a little tired of us both being home all the time too...as soon as we know what he will be doing I am going to look for another part time job too..I am having a blast being home and enjoying the pool and the yard and getting my house in order and being available to help Ryan with all his projects but I think by the end of summer I will be more than ready to go back to work...
Mothers Day was bittersweet...my day was lovely..I actually went shopping on base because I knew nobody would be grocery shopping on Mothers day and I was right! then I spent the afternoon with my daughter by the pool..and in the evening we all went out to our favourite Japanese restaurant for some steak and shrimp..yum!! I say bittersweet because neither hubby or I have our Mums with us anymore and you can't help but miss them on their special day...what I wouldn't give for just one more day to spend with my Mum and ask her all the questions that pop up that no one can answer but her..to be able to tell her that I understand now why she was the way she was sometimes...to let her see how beautiful her grandchildren are... and how blessed I am and what a great life we made for ourselves out here...and to thank her for everything... just one more day...
Well I have rambled on enough here...I hope everyone is doing well..I was tickled to death to see PP finally posted...;-) I think most people have given blogging up and are twittering on face book these days... ;-) I know I don't write much anymore but I'm still here...

Birthdays...pool parties...deep sea fishing...
Good Morning Campers!!
How was your weekend?? mine was pretty good... Mexican food Friday night....had the my old co workers over for frozen drinks by the pool Saturday afternoon...no one bought a bathing suit though? pool party and you didn't bring your bathing suit?? huh?? whatever!! they sweated I didn't...;-) Yesterday was my dad 76th birthday back in UK..can't believe it's been a year since I was there already...I went last year to surprise him for his 75th...I did get to talk to him yesterday and my sister was having a barbecue for him..see pic above...;-) Happy Birthday dad..I think he looks great...my sis..not so much...LOL..she looks a bit washed out in the pic and in need of a haircut...hey I'm allowed to say that she's my sis...she says way worse about my trust me...LOL... I love them both to bits and looking at the pics always makes me homesick...my brother wasn't there he was away for the weekend camping...hubby and son went deep sea fishing yesterday so True Beauty and I spent the afternoon by the pool and then went and grabbed a pizza...you can barely see where the dog got her lip now..thank god....all in all it was a great weekend...
Not much else to report so I shall leave you with my list of five good things..I haven't done that lately...
1. Beautiful Florida weather...
2..spending time with my daughter....
3...Ryan graduates in a month...FINALLY!!
4.... new bird feeders in the backyard...
