Good Evening Campers!
Well the boy got his braces off today and I have to say when I picked him up from work tonight he took my breath away!! To see him smile with no metal on his teeth and for him to beam from ear to ear just made me melt..worth every single penny spent...his teeth are white..smooth and straight.. I will definitely take some pics...camera is charging...best money I ever spent was getting both my kids braces..I so should have had braces..it just wasn't done in my day..shit the dentist used to come to our school in a trailer and we all went in and got tortured..drilling etc..no parents there..makes me shudder to think about it...
Sad news and I am asking for prayers or good vibes or whatever you happen to believe in...remember me telling you about hubby's brother having to see a specialist about his hoarseness? well he has cancer...they are hoping they caught it fast enough to deal with it with a laser..BUT I am not holding my breath.. I just don't have a good feeling about it..something is not adding up and I don't think we are getting the whole story..this is the oldest brother..remember they are all called John?? this is John Paul... anyway all prayers would be greatly appreciated..this is the brother that emigrated to Spain but he is currently back in UK because of this...
I am surviving at work but I am exhausted!! please please forgive me for not commenting this week.. you know I am loyal to you guys but I seriously can't keep up .. I am leaving the house at 8am and getting home 12 hours later...BUT I will get around to you all I promise.. I have Monday and Tuesday off next week so I am living for Friday and a 4 day weekend...... It is bloody crazy up on the front desk but I am trying to stay cheerful and upbeat and it seems to be working.. the patients are all giving me compliments and telling me they appreciate me and that feels good.... I just try to keep them all calm and make them laugh so they don't stress over the long wait or the fact their refill isn't ready or that they can't just walk in and be seen <sigh>
Okay I have got to get some sleep.... pat me on the back because I even went to the gym at 6am this morning and am going again tomorrow.. Ryan downloaded all my fav. CD"s so I am jamming out with my IPOD and thinking I am cool with it...;-)
2 days and a wake up till Friday.... ;-)

I will definately keep your BIL in my prayers!!! Yeah for Ryan! I need braces sooo bad and have thought about it but probably not at my age!!! LOL You are doing so great with the gym thing....I have been really slacking on the exercise and I can tell soooo much!! I have gotta get back at it!!!!

Don't burn yourself out before the 4 day wekeend. I remember the day I got my braces off, 4 years ago!!!! I felt just like our son.

That's wonderful about your son and the braces. I had them in jr and high school, had them removed the end of my freshman year and it was so nice to have those painful things off!

Ok, prayers for your BIL and you sound like you are doing a fabulous job on the desk so would you like me to put in a good word for you at my clinic, since while I am off sick they are down one, you could fill in during you SPARE TIME,...lol.. ahh, sorry!
And I agree, seeing our kids with beautiful white, straight teeth is good for the heart isn't it! It does justify the cost :(!!!!!

Lyn, I am praying for John Paul. I am so sorry the news on his dx was not better. Congrats on the successful braces treatment for the boy! Looking forward to the pix of his shiny white teeth. Lots of Vintage folks do braces nowadays. Considered it?

Sorry to hear about your brother in law. Will keep him in our prayers. Glad that your lad got his braces off with no problems. Bet his teeth look really nice. Nobody had braces when I was a kid either. I don't know too many kids today that haven't had them! I hated the dentist as a child and still do. Old habits die hard I guess!
