Good Morning Campers!!

Hope everyone is doing well. I am sure like me you are all busy busy with the hustle and bustle of the season. It's a non stop whirlwind of Office Parties, gift buying, gift wrapping,card writing, overeating and over drinking frenzy and I love every minute of it...;-)

Our Christmas party was fun..hubby won a digital camcorder in the raffle. The Hotel was gorgeous.. the event room where the party was held was very impressive..the food was delicious and I think everyone had a good time. I did not see as much of hubby as I would have liked as he busy with the raffle and the Sailor of the Year awards etc...After the party which ended early we all went to the Landing which is a group of shops and bars by the riverfront. We went to a place called "The Twisted Martini" it is beneath Paris Hiltons club..it was a lot of fun and a lot more relaxed. We had a good time... stayed until closing time...Thursday we slept in and then after coming home got a few errands done..then I had to work Friday...I was exhausted..I actually thought I was getting sick..so I went straight to bed when I got home and slept right through till 8 am yesterday! I think I was just worn out.  Yesterday hubby and I did a little last minute shopping..then we had my office Christmas party at one of the Docs houses...it was good fun..we grilled a leg of lamb on the grill and everyone bought a side dish then we did a gift exchange...and we all got a nice fat bonus..very unexpected but very welcome...today we are going to the base to get our Christmas booze and groceries...then I am going to clean the house a little and relax...I need to regroup before work again in the morning...feel like my feet aren't touching the ground lately...

I am behind on alerts...I will get to you ...I promise...hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and taking some time for yourselves to just breathe and take in all the sights and sounds and the atmosphere...this time next week it will almost all be over.... <sigh>
