Good Morning Campers!!

Here we are the very last day of 2006. Does not seem possible to me. Time is flying the older I get.
This Year has been pretty good over all. In January hubby moved back after being in New Orleans and then Tennessee for the best part of 3 years. In that time he came home as much as possible. It wasn't enough and as I have said before in hindsight I should have gone with him but I truly did not feel New Orleans was the place for our teenagers. I had my 44th birthday in March, Rachel turned 21 in April.I started my Journal here on AOL on April 17th. What a world that has opened up for me. I cannot imagine a life that does not include all of you and this kinship we have. I thank you. We had all the family over in May..then hubby left to go to Italy for 6 months. he missed our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. It was the 3rd anniversary of my Mums passing too. In June it was Ryans 16th birthday, my sisters 39th (for real) ;-) July we went to England.. met hubby there. came home to a house that had been broken into. By the way we never got a red cent for it. it was never solved either but we all know who was responsible. July was a rough month..that was the month Rachel's boyfriend threatened me too...August bought the return to school and a quick visit from hubby..September meant Football..our jags have done well this year..it also bought me big plumber bills.. leaky toilets and blocked drains....and who can forget AOHell and the whole no alerts issues!!!..October and fall...my favourite time of year...we got cooler temps and a visit from my SIL and her adorable little girls..who can forget the trip to the Nail Salon with my niece?? ;-) My brother turned 48..and hubby had another conjugal visit leaving just in time to miss Halloween...November..would have been Mums 70th Birthday.. Thanksgiving came and went very quietly..and the excitement for hubby's homecoming was building...Christmas decorations were dragged out and the frenzy began!! December has passed in a blur of Christmas festivities, shopping, eating, drinking, and the emptying of wallets!! hubby is home and it feels like he has never been gone.

So there we have it..a re cap of 2006. I am excited for the New Year and all the opportunities it may hold. Tonight we are celebrating with friends at their house on the river. A moonlit boat ride is promised and there are beds for all to stay so no one has an excuse to drink and drive. I was going to post some pics today from Christmas but it appears hubby has taken my camera golfing. The boys are golfing this morning as they do most Sundays. I will post some pics soon I promise it has been a while.

I wish you all the very best for the New Year...may you be blessed with good health and happiness. What more could you ask for?

I shall end this with a few good things from 2006...
Happy New Year!!!!

1. A new addition to the Hatfield family..Mackenzie Lee was born May 26th 2006.
2..Hubby is home..it is so nice not to have the pressure of him leaving soon and having to cram everything in to every minute of every day..we can just be...
3... The kids are healthy and happy..
4.... "Meeting" new friends across the world all from biting the bullet and starting a Journal online..
5..... Seeing my family this year..as hard as it is to arrange with all our crazy busy lives it was so worth it..I miss them so..

Good morning, on this New Year's Eve. I guess it's been eventful year for everyone! And I had to laugh at "December was a blur" - YES IT WAS. We have just FLOWN thru it - shopping, eating, and emptying wallets - like you said. I even had extra days off and it was still a blur. LOL.

Yes time does fly faster the older we get. It is a proven fact, or at least it seems like it ought to be. Have a safe and sane New Year and I hope 2007 is what you hope it will be. By the way, I noticed you mentioned the Hatfield family, any relation to the McCoy feud? Just wondering. Take care.
