Monday Morning

Good Morning campers!!

Miss me?? ;-) No need to tell you where I've been or what I've been doing for that matter.. let's just say that NO that was not an earthquake you felt in Jacksonville Florida Saturday evening....LOL

So re-cap. He finally got home 1300 Saturday. There wasn't much hoop la with it being the weekend. Here's a funny for ya though..Ryan and I went to pick him up..the hangar his Squadron normally occupies is being painted..so we knew he would be coming into another hangar..so we go wandering around the hangars and find one filled with people..Santa Claus..music playing..bouncy castles for the kids...Pizza..soda's ..games..we go in and I am thinking "wow they are going all out for this homecoming..wonder why they didn't ask me to help with this".. we are standing there feeling lost.. I am trying to see if I can spot anyone I know... nope.. then after about 20 minutes Ryan says to me "Mum I think this is a Christmas Party'...sure was!!! LOL...so we quickly leave...and find the correct hangar...The plane flies in..hubby is the second one off the plane.. we run out to greet him..he had a rose for me...we say a few quick hellos and get out of there. We stop off at home.. he takes a quick shower then we have to head to the mall so he can get a suit for the Christmas party.. we were able to find two fairly easily.. we spent a quiet evening at home..he bought us all gifts.. Ryan got a silver chain he wanted..Rachel got a prada purse.. I got some beautiful pottery from Italy and a case of wine...;-) We ordered his favourite Chinese take away.. we did get to see the space shuttle as it took off..what an incredible sight that was... it lit up the whole sky and took my breath away...I am so glad we got to witness that...Yesterday hubby took Ryan to the Jaguars game...they had a blast and we won which made it even better.. Poor Rachel has been working all weekend but will catch up with dad tonight...it is so nice just to have hubby home and all my family under one roof... I like seeing his things around too...like this morning his Doc martens are sitting by the door and for some reason that just made me smile...

So all is well in my world right now.. busy week ahead.. I am working today and tomorrow..then Wednesday hubby and I are heading downtown to stay at the Hyatt...his Christmas party is Wednesday evening..we hope to do a little shopping and relaxing down by the waterfront too... a little "alone" time... I have to work Friday..then this weekend we have My Christmas party at one of the Dr's houses.. I need to finish up my shopping and get wrapping... busy but fun time of year...

 

Have a great week everyone...I don't think I need to list my five this morning... I am just grateful hubby is home....I do want to say thanks for all your kind words and for your support these past six months..you certainly kept me sane... and thanks to Cindy, Allison, Gretchen and Missie for the Christmas cards....
