TGIT!!!!

Morning campers. TGIT I am off tomorrow ;-) I woke this morning to find that Ernesto has come and gone and we only have some rain to show for it. Thank you god. I hear there's a huge one heading for Mexico though... isn't that unusual on the west coast?? I can't recall one before..Anyway I am just glad we were lucky this time..Katrina was a wake up call for me.. hubby was stationed in New Orleans at the time and evacuated.. the house he lived in was destroyed.. he got relocated to Millington Tennessee and lived in a FEMA trailer for 4 months before coming back to Jacksonville. I did not go with him when he got orders to New Orleans...we felt it was better that he went alone and did the geographical Bachelor thing.. I just could not see uprooting the family for 2 years and , New Orleans is not somewhere I wanted to raise my then 14 year old... he did come home a lot..every other weekend..it was not enough.. it was not good for our marriage..we grew apart and are still working on getting re connected...if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with him...it was financially hard too..we were paying for 2 households..he did not get extra money to live apart from us...that was our choice..they would have paid to move us... I did enjoy going to visit New Orleans though.. I probably would have never gone if he hadn't been there though so I am glad for that... the city is magical..I hope the magic is still there..

I am working today..day 3 this week...the 12 hour days kill me..but I am enjoying the work.. we have a lot of fun..we are getting busier which is good ..we have only been open since December.. the baby came by for a visit yesterday.. she is so delish!! chubby little thing and just so good.. not a peep out of her...lucky girl having both parents Doctors..they are a beautiful family..the other Dr's wife is pregnant too... baby city!!

Well I need to get a move on here.. it's dark and drizzly and looks like England out there... ;-)

My five..

Ah hell, Lyn, send the man a BOOB shot, for Pete's sake. One boob. Nipple included. Poor dude all alone and horny.

If you all had been in New Orleans you could have been killed! I hate hearing that it did some damage with the distance and such but thank God you and the kids AND Lester are safe!
I have never had Indian food.
LOVE YOU!

Candles being lit for Diane as we speak...
And I think you should have some fun and send Hubby the pics.  Live a little.  You're never too old to have THAT kind of fun!!  Besides, aren't you the one who said that if everything you had planned for a romantic evening went wrong, including burning dinner, you would show up at the door wearing nothing but a smile???  ;)

Haha..England resents that comment..LOL!!

Katrina was HORRENDOUS!! Us brits should count ourselves VERY lucky that we seem to be immune from such natural disasters, although saying it is a jinx, so forget I said anything.

It's true though...We RARELY have anything like that, except that we slept through a MINOR earthquake a few years ago. Nothing was damaged, but the stuff on my shelves needed picking up again..grrr!!

No, hurricanes are formed off of the Baja of California.  The do get some every year and sometimes they head out over the pacific and hit Hawaii.  Hope you have a TGIF as well.

I'm not sure I ever got over the twice Mike and I spent three months apart, when he moved jobs and I had to follow later when we sold the houses. You so quickly get used to doing your own thing, it's hard when you have to adjust to being back together.

Although we don't get hurricanes over here we do get freak weather. Last year a tornedo came out of the blue and hit part of Birmingham. It destroyed a huge number of houses, now a year later, many of them are still wrecked, as they were uninsured.
