Busy day. Got a lot done. Insurance claim is in. now have to wait and see how much they will give me after my deductible. Have the air-conditioning guy coming out Thursday... the kids rooms are just not getting cool. Trying to plan for the weekend. Nervous about leaving Ryan here on his own. Rachel will be here but is going out Friday night. We'll see. Ryan is okay staying here.. I just have a feeling though and my gut feelings are usually right. I am definitely going to the beach though..even if I don't sleep there I will go for the day. I need to be near the sea. Need a good long walk to clear my head. I have so much going on inside this head of mine. I am worried to death about Diane.. I sent her a pressie today. We have this Friendship ball that we mail back and forth. Today I filled it with some prayer beads, a little stone with the footprints on it.. a couple of goofy cards.. a breast Cancer awareness badge with a donation made in her honour..we will know Thursday what we are up against. Cancer is rearing it's ugly head too much lately.. in my life alone I have 4 people close to me battling it..dammit...
I am looking forward to fall and the cooler weather. Fall is like my rebirth. I get a whole new lease on life in the fall. I love the anticipation of the holidays..love the fall scents..Cinnamon and pumpkin and cider...love the lamps switched on against the early evening darkness...candles...casseroles...comfort food.. I am not trying to rush the end of summer..I promise.. just thinking ahead.. ;-) we Floridians live for the fall..after months of heat and humidity we love the temps dipping into the 70's..LOL
Missed a phone call from Big L today...he said he is totally wiped out from all the traveling he's been doing..he is back in Italy now ..at least for a few days..
Kids are fine.. Rachel is back at her regular property..thank god.. Ryan is back in school..so far so good..prayers for a better year please....

Damn you have a lot going on! 4 of your loved ones have cancer? So hard to take....you have so much compassion for people.....we are lucky to have you in our lives. I want a piece of an ocean too. No damn ocean anywhere near Ohio. :((

Sounds like a lot going on. Happy that the insurance claim is in and hopefully you'll get a good amount of money. The beach sounds great even for the day. Just to get out and walk and think. I hope Diane is ok and the friendship ball sounds so sweet. Good luck with everything.
