Good Morning and Happy Birthday/Anniversary to J Land!!! I did attend the early version of the celebrations.. I missed the big "ol USA party though!!! Hope you guys had some fun for me... ;-) I enjoyed chatting with everyone and can't wait for Stevie to fill me in on the rest today..and you know what I am talking about..if you don't your Mum does.. ;-)
I had an awesome weekend. the beach house was lovely..the ladies were fabulous..we all got along great.. the weather was perfect...the ocean was magnificent.. we walked 3 miles on the beach each morning...we laughed, talked, confessed a few things ;-) ate and drank way to much...it was a perfect girls weekend away and just what I needed..the house was fine while I was gone.. my son did not have any parties or anything either ;-) I will post pics later.. we all had a pact ..no bathing suit pics...LOL
Haven't spoke to hubby in a few days...hope all is well with him...I am sure it is.. he is traveling a lot and can't always tell me where and sometimes it's spur of the moment as well...
The weather is cooling a little.. I just went outside to put some water in the pool..it evaporates in the heat...and it was actually chilly walking on the wet grass.. a sign that fall is on it's way...yay!!!
Okay campers that's all from me... you know me and Monday Mornings..you're lucky to get anything at all ;-)

My five...
1. The beach!!
2..Friends...The group of women I was with this weekend are from all ethnic backgrounds, all ages, (24-62) etc. and we would probably not be friends if we had not met at work... we are all so different however we had an incredible time together and I feel blessed to have been included..
3...Got to have a quick beer and play catch up with my best friend last night...he is me in the male version I swear..LOL
4.... Spending time in the Yankee Candle Store..they have their fall stuff out and it smells so good..like a smorgasboard for your nose..I couldn't work there though..would have a major headache by the endof the day from all that scent....
5..... J Land.. I am one of the newcomers.. I started my Journal online on April 17th.. in the short time I have been here I have made some incredible new friends..I get so much more from you all than I would have ever imagined...I am blessed to be here..even if it is a cult... ;-)

Hi again Lyn ,Im sure Lester is OK its only bad news that travels fast (old English proverb lol ). .....Jan xx
Lyn, just stopping by to say I love you. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time this weekend. I'm thinkin' the 'no swimsuit pics' would have made it all the better! LOL
Hi Lyn, I`m glad you had a great weekend. I`ll bet you all looked great in your swimsuits! :o)

Are we a cult? I didn't know. mmmmm That makes it kind of cooler. Let me know when you all start buying new Nike shoes and sweat suits, though. Or buying lots of kool aid. I'll probably want to sit out those particular celebrations.
My mom loves Yankee Candles, too... but we don't have a Yankee Candle store here in godforsaken Hanover PA, we have to go to the yard and garden store for those. But, at least we can get them!
24-62 is a wide age-group. I've got friends all ages myself. I'm 44. My girlfriend is 28. A good number of my friends are in their mid to late 30's. My best friend is 42. And other really good friend is 55 (which is the same age as my sister who I don't get along with at all --consevative christian-- I don't follow the path she thinks I should be on). My 55 year old friend Helen is sooo opposite my sister! I really, REALY wish that could get the two of them in the same room for awhile.
Just goes to show you, age doesn't matter in the music world (which is where I've spent most of my life).
Mannnnnn.... I'm a-babblin' today, aren't I?
LOL about the cult comment! I get what you mean! Super glad that you all had a great time this past weekend. Sometimes it doesn't work out so I'm glad it did.

I'm glad you had a good time at the beach and your house was still intact when you got home! lol!
I missed the AOL party too, but time differences and sleep for exams caused that one!
I love Yankee candle, they're a little pricy (least over here) but they have the best smelling everything! lol!
Glad to be a reader of your journal, i was hooked the minute i read that you used to live in the UK and moved to the US! lol! That's one of my dreams in life, to become a US citizen!

love reading your journal and happy that your a part of j-land. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Glad you enjoyed the beach. I was in UK chat for an hour but maybe I missed you. Read in the paper this morning that our summer is over and we are to expect lots and lots of rain although August was supposed to be a heatwave like July. So that was our summer, far too hot to go outside and do anything and now cold and wet. Ho hum

We met in the anniversary chatroom, and no we hadn't met before. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed the experience. You can read back the chatlog from the frontpage of my blog Northern Trip (URL below) as I'm telling all the 94 that were there.
Best wishes,
Guido
