Less than a week to go. Getting very very excited. I hope the weather cools off over there in the next few days..we were hoping for a break from the heat!
Hubby is not coming for his "conjugal" visit this weekend..the situation in Lebanon is preventing that. No traveling. I am so disappointed but my biggest concern is they might refuse to let him come to UK and meet us. That will be beyond disappointing. As hubby patiently trys to tell me he is not in control. I know that. As of now he is still coming. I told him I will believe it when I hear your voice calling me from the airport to tell me you are on your way. The military life can be so hard at times because you truly are not in control and you have no choice but to answer to those who give orders. And as high up as my hubby is he takes orders just like everyone else. By the way the leg is on the mend ;-)
The "cleansing" diet works... I am down about 7lbs and that's with cheating...it is pretty strict..basically fruits and veggies with a couple of starches. I stick to it during the week but allow myself a little freedom on the weekend..it is not meant to be followed for too long..it is basically a kick start and can be used anytime to lose a few pounds or to give your diet a boost that has reached a plateau... true beauty and I have been walking in the evenings too after the sun has gone down... I allows panic before I come home because I am the "fat" one in the family and you can bet your life the first thing out of everyone's mouth is a comment about my weight..."oh Lyn you look like you lost weight" or "wow you're looking well" (meaning FAT) pisses me off but that's just how it is. Sucks to be the heffer in the family. Truth is I have been the same weight give or take 10 pounds since I stopped having kids..16 years ago!!! So this is obviously how I am supposed to be. But this little "diet" I am doing right now is am attempt to look the best I can ..that and my killer tan so I can give my gorgeous (younger) sister a run for her money!! ;-) You know I am totally kidding around..my sister and I are not really like that it's all in good fun..we actually look very much alike..she has youth and no kids on her side but apart from that people always tell us we look like sisters ..LOL
Please say a prayer for a dear friend of ours who has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer..he does not wish to be named but he is a very very dear friend and part of out regular group who hang out together... I am not sure of his prognosis.. I pray that it will be a good one..
I will leave you with my list of gratefuls..

I hope hubby makes it here to England, that would be very sad if it didn't happen.
I so hope your friend is going to be ok. My hubby finished radiotherapy in March and so far his PSA levels are great. There are three treatment options and I hope one or a combination of them, is perfect for him. At least there are three here, maybe in the USA there are more.

Dadgum war! That would really be awful if he can't meet you in the UK!
Yeah, you are a whale. NOT! But if that is the way you feel, I'll let you! :) But 7 lbs off is good work! I seem to be stuck at my extremely large weight. Booo.

Hi Lyn, You must be so disappointed at not being able to see your hubby at the weekend, let`s hope he`ll be able to come to England to meet you. Good luck with the weight loss, 7 lbs is a great start. I do hope your friend will get a good prognosis and will make a full recovery.

Hi hon, The war gets in the way of everything. I hope it is not long before you're able to wrap your arms around your husband. Take care. Keeping your friend in prayer too.
