Murphy is visiting my house ..AGAIN. Let's see... first the knob to the dryer broke off so we have to turn it on with the plyers, the hose broke..(the end snapped off when I was trying to take the sprayer off) the weed wacker, (the line is one big tangled mess) the ride on lawn mower..(son rode over "something") the automatic pool cleaner, (Snapped off at the jet) dropped the cord less phone and it is in pieces, the remote to TV lost the battery cover so they keep falling out... son left trash can in garage and I opened door yesterday and all I can say is FLIES.... I think that's it... can you tell I need a man around the house?? DH might not be the handiest of men but he can usually fix all these annoying little things.. my son assures me he will get to most of them today... bless him...he trys so hard..
I am so fed up with my daughter.. guess where she went after work yesterday?? Yep..to HIS house.. after all he put me through... I am over it.. <sigh>
my neighbour came over yesterday with a big 'ol frozen dacquiri and said "looks like you need one of these" and that's all... gotta love neighbours like that..
I am trying so hard to keep it all together here.. if I don't I feel like it will just spiral out of control.. it's one thing after another.. I cannot wait to go to England to get away from here and spend some time with my family not to mention seeing DH.. I think he realizes he messed up with his comment the other day on the phone..I could tell yesterday that he is worried sick.. I told him it's okay we all say dumb stuff sometimes.. ;-)
Time to talk about what I am grateful for and put it all in to perspective.. I have it pretty darn good most of the time and I truly believe that these little trials and tribulations are intended for us to take a step back and not take things for granted..having said that here is my list of GOOD things...
1. Getting the yard work done.. nothing like a little physical labour to work out your frustrations and the yard looks fabulous..
2..My son.. bless his heart he is my rock..I worry about him trying to be the "man" of the house though but he damn he is a good kid...
3... Neighbours that bring you Daquiri's when they see you dripping with sweat in your front yard.. ;-)
4.... Good nights sleep..makes the world of difference...
5..... The gorgeous Red Cardinal that has taken a fancy to my birdbath.. got to get a pic of him...

It will get better, its gotta !!! Your son sounds alot like mine, he would do anything for his mamma !!! Now, your daughter, oh man, not good at all !! She has to stay away from that guy !

I am glad that you have such a good neighbor! I could use one like that! It is also good that you can see the good in the chaos! Sounds like a bunch of little things to drive you nuts. But your perspective is good. Until we got a new vcr we just taped the batteries in when the kids lost the battery cover. Worked pretty well. We used packing tape.

What an awesome neighbor! Boy you have a list of little things huh? Those little things will drive you crazy in the end too...i hope the son gets them fixed. GRRRRRR on your daughter going to that bums home after what you went thru.

Isn`t it annoying when everything goes wrong at once? Let`s hope that is the end of it all now! Mmm...dacquiris, I had my first frozen strawberry one in Florida, it tasted gorgeous! :o)
