He's gone. It was sad. he cried, I cried , the kids cried..my last vision of him was in the rear view mirror in his flight suit with his hand in the air ...bless him. I just want to get on with it now. Sometimes the build up and anticipation is worse than the actual leaving.
In happier news my SIL had her baby boy yesterday.. he weighed in at 8lb 7oz and Mum and baby are doing fine. This is baby number three from the same sperm donor. Their first boy. I wonder how he is going to do being raised in a house of women with 2 Mummies and not too many male role models. I am sure it will all work out fine. Sharon and Amanda are amazing parents. my wish for my newest nephew is a long, healthy, happy life. Welcome to the World Mackenzie Lee Hatfield-Tugwell.
I got a new camera.. I am tickled to death. It's digital and I haven't a clue what I am doing with it. I need to take the time to sit and figure it all out. When I do I will post some pics.
My best friend and his wife took me out last night so I wouldn't sit around being mopey. We went to see a local band ..they were excellent. They are called "Roger That" We had a good time. I got in at 3am..whoah nelly.. not used to that.. ;-) I am being lazy and laying by the pool and reading and taking it easy today. It's bloody hot here.. thank god for swimming pools and AC.
The family made it safely back to UK.. maybe our lives can get back to normal around here now. I like not having any plans..but it sure was fun having them around and only 2 months and we will be seeing them all again.
Have a lovely weekend...I truly appreciate all the comments about our Veterans.. they do too.

Don`t be too sad, you have a new baby nephew to cheer you up. I`ll bet he`ll be spoiled rotten being the only boy in the family, bless him. You`ll be fine with the digi camera, they are amazing inventions. Have a good weekend. :o)

Roger That sounds like an interesting name...what kind of music? I am glad you seem to be doing ok....i hope you and DH talk alot..he will stay in my prayers of course. Congrats to mommy, mommy 2 and the new chubby baby! hurry and learn how to use the digital. God knows i can only do the basics on mine.

That is just awesome! Can't wait till you figure out the camera....when you do, that will probably mean loads of cool pics for all of us to see! Yes, it IS hot today! My gosh....we spent the morning finishing the mulch and let me tell you, I thought I was going to pass out. I finally quit and got in the pool. Sheesh! Glad your family is home safe and sound....take it easy and enjoy your weekend! ;o)
