Wicked Wednesday

Good morning campers!

Hope this finds everyone doing well. The floods did hit my village back home and things are pretty bad in some areas but thank god my family missed the worse of it..high street is on a hill and luckily they are on the upward slope so they were okay..other parts of the village did not fare so well. Richard Branson (Virgin Records) has a home in the village and his place was flooded out.

The barbecue went well..nothing to report..they actually had a great time and thanked us by taking us for Indian food last night and now I have an "upset" stomach...I think I got a dodgy shrimp in the curry but I could be wrong..anyway I did not go to work because there is no way I could handle taking back patients today and I have a thing about using the restroom anywhere but at home so ..weird I know but there you have it....

Hubby has been in Norfolk since sunday so it's been kinda quiet around here..and kinda nice to be honest with you but don't tell him..;-) We are off to the beach house again this weekend ..tummy troubles permitting...nothing else to report....

I WAS going to lay by the pool..might as well top up the tan between visits to the loo but wouldn't you know the gutter guys have showed up...just my luck...

Have a great hump day...

L

You had to do it didnt you? just a mere mention of sitting by the pool sunbathing as us dear Brits in fits of tears and rage. Life is just not fair!!!! stamping my foot now. only kidding you know us Brits rain in the summer is the norm. I am so glad your family are all ok, its devistating to see peoples worldly goods sat discarded by the road side waiting for the men to take to the tip, so very sad... Any way i hope your tummy feels better and the gutter man leaves you soon so you can catch those rays.
hugs

I've had 'digestive issues' all week and I blame the shrimp I had, too.  I really should just stick to bananas, but other food calls to me in this seductive way.  What can I do...say no?  hee...

Hope you are better soon!  Good to hear your family didn't suffer badly from the floods.  There is something to be said from living high up from the river for sure.
Take good care and rest...'On Ya' - ma

Oh I am so sorry that your stomach is upset today... I hope it clears up as quickly as it came, so you can enjoy the weekend coming!

I know what you mean about the quiet of the house without hubby, it doesn't mean we don't miss them... but... lol

be well,
Dawn

I know how you feel...  If I need to use the bathroom because I'm not feeling well, I'd much prefer doing my business at home!!  I hope you are feeling better soon!  Take care!  Julie :)

Oh I so hope that you feel better soon! I know what you mean about hubby being gone! One time I asked Rusty if he had a deployment to go on? Then he came home a few days later and packed his bags. He was off to war. I so did not mean thst type of deployment!

lol...poor thing!  I would never lay out with a bunch of gutter guys trying to work!  And, I 'm guessing by the fact that you aren't, you feel the same?  Smart girl.  One of them would fall in love with you, start stalking you... and well, it all goes downhill from there.  Thank God you are a smart cookie!
Hope you do get to enjoy the weekend...

hump day LOL! Awww Im so sorry about the village your folks live in - its so so scary all this flooding - it really is so sad - at least Richard Branson can afford to put all his right again! Poor people who are left homeless and all their belongings ruined. We are lucky we are no where near a river and we are on a hill - if we flooded then it would be the end of the world I think! Hope your tummy soon better. Laine xx

I'm a day late in posting this so I hope by now you're feeling much better. I know how worrying it can be when you're miles from your family and hear of things like flooding, bombs etc, nothing you can do but wait for news of them, glad yours are Ok but I really feel for those who have been flooded out.  Have a good Thursday! ~~~ Pat  http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/

Sorry you're feeling crappy...hehehe..get it...crappy...ok, sorry!!! But look on the bright side, you'll feel thinner!!!  I always do - for a day or two - when you get a tummy bug.  Anyway, hope you can get back out in the sunshine real soon without wearing a path to the loo!  Glad your family is ok too.  Its pretty scary watching the news isn't it? Roll on summer in Oz!!!

Glad that your family is ok.  I've been hearing about the flooding over there.  Weather is so strange.  We need some rain here in the south to take care of our drought woes but it all concentrates in ONE area.
