Good Morning Campers..
It's friday!! Hubby is home safe and sound and our friends have invited us to the beach again this weekend so we are driving down this morning..the guys are going to play golf today while the girls hang on the beach and then we are going out to dinner tonight..I hope the weather cooperates because so far every time we have attempted this beach thing it has rained!! I don't want to sound ungrateful but I cannot take another day shut inside in pouring rain in a small condo with two huge dogs and the kids while the guys are off golfing...I can see the eyes rolling right now but trust me wet dogs stink and if I am going to be stuck inside because of the weather I would much rather be here with all my creature comforts... however if the sun is out there is no where I would rather be than on the beach with a good book and a cold beer.. the weather is predicting it's usual 40% chance of thunderstorms and showers but where and when they will show up is a wait and see game...wish me luck...;-)
Tummy troubles seem to be over...I still don't know what caused them but I am just happy that they're gone...
Somebody stole Max off my sidebar..so if you see my little Monkey hanging around tell him he still has Bananas on Brit's Blog..;-)
I got a super cute super short haircut yesterday..yes another one..my hair grows like wildfire..especially in the summer...I have a confession..I went to someone else..I love the girl that does my hair but lately she has not been cutting enough off and the straggly bits on my neck have been driving me ape so yesterday I went into this ultra trendy salon in the mall where they do a LOT of short haircuts and they did me right.. I am loving it..will have to remember to take a pic...
So I'm outta here..you guys have a wonderful weekend ..I have been slacking in listing my five good things lately so let me leave you with some things that I am grateful for...
1.Hubby is home and had a great time...
2..new Journals..keep watching this space because I am going to do a list soon....
3...Invites to the beach..;-)
4....great books...reading Joanna Trollope at the moment...
5..... steaks on the grill cooked in the nick of time before the heavens opened last night...
6...... I think I may have found a church that I could actually get into...
7....... MJ"s new tattoo..she rocks and so does her tattoo...
8........freshly ground coffee...it DOES make a difference...
9......... Brandon let us shave his head..his new hair that grew in after chemo was looking awful..like fine baby hair so he is now sporting a buzz cut and looks so darn handsome...AND he is doing well..

Enjoy your weekend Lyn...I too am going "home" to Chicago with the kids for the weekend...will be leaving here in a couple hours. We will be traveling in the rain unfortunately, so if you don't care remember us in your prayers.
I am glad to hear you may have a church you like...It is important...Not that God is only in church, I don't mean it that way (b4 the trolls come out to attack) it is just GOOD to hear the word..not just read it...

BEACH... BEACH...I want to go to the BEACH!!! Too bloody cold here!!! So you better enjoy it for both of us. I am holed up here next to the heater with my ugg boots and dressing gown on! Take photos so I can see the sun and feel the warmth please!

I'm with Wendy....I WANT TO GO TO THE BEACH!!!!! Instead, we are entertaining my husbands co-workers on Sunday....in the rain....yippee (notice the lack of enthusiasm...lol) I would almost prefer being locked in with two wet dogs...(lol)

I hope the weather cooperates with you as well. I am not going to complain as we are finally getting some much need rain here in the upper Midwest. The forecast is for a beautiful weekend though so I'm sure our grill will get a workout. Mid 90's are predicted for next week so it will be pool time again. YIPEEE!!!
I suppose the only thing worse than the smell of a wet dog is that of a wet horse. LOL

And... a church you "could actually get into"? Do they usually lock the doors when they see you coming?
I hope the weather does you good. If you were living hear I'd say you'd have it made. Our grass is DEAD. I've never seen it like this. Every year it gets somewhat crunchy at some point but even the dog poop is turning into ceramic (which, of course, makes it much easier to pick up).

We have also had wacko weather here too in Vegas. Thunderstorms and rain for most of the week. I hop the weather holds out for your outing....that always makes it so much better.
I also wacked all my hair off about 2 weeks ago. If you post picture of your new "do", then I will post one of mine......LMAO. But I have to say I LOVE having short hair again, especially in Las Vegas. Hubby even likes it and doesn't miss my long hair like I thought it would. I bet yours is so cute.

Hope the weather was ok for the beach and you didn't get stuck in with the stinky dogs. Can't wait to see the new hair cut.
