Tuedays with Lyn.......

Good Morning Campers!

A proper entry from me for a change ;-)

How are all my rocking girls this morning?? (and guys)... By the way the reference to the pineapple was an ode to the troll..remember?? Called me Pineapple head a few months back..but I would have to agree I can see a similarity especially with the new haircut...could be worse..could be onion head...;-)

I have been to the gym already and am working on my 2nd cup of coffee so I am wired for sound this morning...lots going on around here again..we have had vinyl siding put up on the fascia and soffets of our house..(the trim basically for you brits)..so we will never have to paint this house again...except the stucco but that only needs painting every few years..we had wood trim before and it does not hold up well to the harsh Florida sun..it peels and cracks and needs re doing every couple of years.. our goal is to have everything that needs doing to this house done before hubby retires from the Navy in a few years.. I would say we are almost there...he wants a sprinkler system installed and then we are done...this house is pretty much brand new  now...LOL...we are also having new gutters put in and they are supposed to be here again today...

The kids are okay..I know I shouldn't call them "kids" as they are 22 and 17 but they are kids to me..True beauty is about to have a severe reality check if she doesn't sign up for classes and finish her Associates degree..she is only a couple of credits short..the deal was rent free while in school but me thinks she may be dragging it out on purpose...ya think???  Big man thinks he is just that and can do whatever the hell he wants..he may be 6' 7" but he is 17 and a minor and he needs to remember that...he is pushing the envelope with me let me tell you....what is it about boys though? one look from him or a hug and I am jelly...and hubby is same with true beauty...glad we have one of each I guess....

Hubby is doing better..he had a little problem that he would be mortified if I told you about so lets just say he had a sore bottom for a few days...;-) Of course he has been the brunt of endless jokes around here ..he was given some percocet for pain and he was as high as a kite and hilarious...

Cadet is missing Di..she spoilt him rotten...she fell in love with him and may even get herself a little dog when she gets settled in her new house..Fin the fish is still doing well and I just bought him a new bowl..Di didn't like the old one..she said it was too small so he got a new bowl and seems happy as a fish can be swimming around in endless circles...;-)

We are off to the Beach to stay at our friends Beach house for the fourth July celebrations..they do fireworks right off the pier there so we will have an incredible view..the kids don't want to come so they are staying home and doing doggie duty..Cadet barks like a maniac at the fireworks...

So that's it from my neck of the woods...I have got over my blues of missing Di..she is doing fine and excited to move into her new place and start a new chapter in her life...I wish her all the best and continue to pray that she is in remission..she won't get the all clear for another couple of months...

Have a wonderful Tuesday..be safe if you are traveling..all this terrorist activity has me fearful...I was nervous about the  concert on Sunday for Princess Diana which by the way was amazing and a great trip down memory lane for me and I was so proud of her gorgeous boys....

there I go rambling again...I shall leave you with my five and get out of here...;-)

1. Rain..we needed it and boy did we get it...

2..Great day at work yesterday...busy and the day flew by ..office manager bought lunch too..bonus!

3...Getting back into the swing of things..including the gym..feels great...

4.... The incredible moon...have you seen it the past couple of nights?..beautiful..makes me want to reach up and grab it...

5.....All of you reading this..except you trolls..:-P

Sitting at the beach for the 4th sounds wonderful. It's raining here in Germany, at this point it feels like "When ISN'T it raining" and if I were "home" it'd be raining there too, I'm from Kansas. Thankfully my family's all safe from the flooding.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to have our friends and family with us at our beck and call. When we want to see them just snap our fingers and get them to come and when we needed a break they'd just pop on home until we're ready for them again? Well it sounds good to me! LOL

Have a nice Tuesday.

God Bless
Christy

Oh how can you be so mean to the trolls, it takes them hours to read something with such complicated words as house and morning in lol. Hope you manage to actually get to the beach house this time and have a fab day.

I miss seeing fireworks over the water. Really, I don't even like fireworks much, but they are special when seen from the beach. Enjoy! --Cin

speaking of the moon, two nights ago, at about 2 or 3 in the morning, I woke up to my Golden howling at the moon.  Seriously...he was just laying there in my bedroom, lookig out the window, howling.  Scared the life out of me...

Reality checks happen all the time here. Our 17 year old sometimes things that she can do whatever she wants. The joys of raising children. I am not sure what we are doing for the fourth.

Here's a question you can feel free to answer or not answer when you have a chance --

What exactly do you mean by "campers"?

I've seen Gaz use it several times and just assumed it was an English gay thing (campy).  But now I'm thinking it's something else.

Thanks in advance  for educating me.  :)

Sounds like the house will be set. I have a 22yo and a 17yo too. My 17yo is a girl though so really don't know what worse. She thinks she's 21 already until I remind her that she's still a minor. So your hub is suffering hope he gets better soon. Glad you had such a nice visit with your friend. Sounds like a fun time with friends at the beach house. I watched the Princess Diana Concert and it was awesome. The boys out did themselves and yes their mother would be so proud of her gorgeous sons.. they're trying to live the way their mother set an example of doing, but she's a hard lady to match. I loved her so.. her accident was on my wedding anniversary I remember coming in after we'd been out to dinner and turning on CNN before bed and it was all over the news I was crushed more so for those two boys who lost their mother. Love your five and yes the moon was brillant this last weekend. My grandson and I went and enjoyed it every night. Over here it was huge I took pictures because my grandson loves the moon. He loves Kipper books and there is a huge moon in one.
Take care, Chrissie
