I'm back..a day early..;-) Fixed it myself..well actually the cable company gave me a new modem (had to go to their office to pick it up) and after about an hour and a few choice swear words I am now back up and running...amazing how we come to depend on this internet world of ours..you don't realise just how much you use it until it's gone..I needed directions last night and a phone number.... had to do it the old fashioned way and use the yellow pages..LOL.. I did try to read my email on my phone but it's not the same..the screen is so tiny and it's a lot slower....but I did check just to make sure I didn't miss anything juicy... ;-) The cable company thinks my modem got knocked out by lightening..we did have some pretty heavy thunderstorms over the weekend so maybe so...all's well that ends well though right?
I do have some GOOD news to share....my sister and my dad are coming over in September for 2 weeks!! I am tickled to death! My dad called me yesterday morning and I heard the dreaded words "I have got something to tell you" I hate opening lines like that.. but this time it was happy news... made my day.. I guess Di must have gone back and told them what a fab time she had and how they are missing out ...whatever she said did the trick because they are coming...tickets are being booked as we speak..to say I am excited is the understatement of the year!! My dad hasn't been over for 9 years and my sister for 4 so they are well overdue.... They weren't going to tell me but I'm glad they did because half the fun of something is looking forward to it... I will probably drive you all nuts for the next 8 weeks going on about it..... ;-)
So anyway that's my good news....I am off to read some Journals and see what I've missed....thanks for all the sweet comments...

Glad you got your modem fixed. Every now and then when it rains here I can have problems with the internet (not sure why that is) but I don't know what to do with myself when I can't get online, lol.
