Wednesday..do the humpty hump... ;-)

Morning Campers.

Thank you for the lovely comments about Kevin yesterday. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they must be going through and at this time of year as well.

On a lighter note... I am putting a nice dent in the Christmas shopping.  :-) Don't know why I am so into it this year but I am. I have always been a Christmas lover. It was the one time of year that my Mum was the kind of Mum I wanted her to be all the time. She was happy, light hearted, in good spirits.. my Dad always used to say he wished people were like they were at Christmas all the time... if you think about it it's true..unless you are a total scrooge..bah humbug  LOL.. I have had people of different religions that do not celebrate Christmas tell me that their philosophy is to be in that same "Christmas" mind set all year long... not a bad idea. ..we should always be kind to our fellow man,  be generous and open our hearts and our homes... they may be on to something there... I am probably looking forward to the holidays so much because when hubby comes home this time he won't be leaving again...it was always hanging over us that he would be leaving again soon and made the holidays bittersweet..whatever the reason I am feeling the spirit and loving it!! I am itching to put up my decorations.. that's another new thing for me.. the earliest I have ever put them up before was the day after Thanksgiving.. growing up we never put them up till 2 weeks before Christmas.. I bought some new ornaments yesterday in the Navy exchange...these cute little fairies and elves...I got my Dad his huge bottle of Jack Daniels..he loves a toddy at night but won't buy it for himself in UK..it's way more expensive over there than here..it costs me more to ship it than  what it's worth but I love to think of him having his little toddy at night and toasting to me... bless him....

Well folks I could ramble on all morning but I need to get my butt in the shower and head off to work.. have a great Hump Day..welcome back to Phil... ;-)

That is sad about Kevin.  You do have the right spirit in your heart trying to keep the Christmas spirit in your heart year round.  I'm glad this Christmas will be even more happy for you.  Have a great hump day.

I am pleased that your mood is higher today.  I am a bit of a bah humbug and hate to see decorations up before about the middle of December but ...  then when I do get in the spirit of it, I go crazy and really enjoy it all, especially the excitement of the kids.  I am so pleased the time is getting close for your husband to get home, that will really cheer you up.  Can't wait to see the photo of Ryan in his uniform!  Hugs.  Terry x

I can't even think of presents for anyone this year!  I'm in trouble.  Everyone has everything.  Looks like I'll be a last minute shopper this year.

Rye bread and orange marmalade?  Sounds good.  And I just gave my hubby a hard time for buying rye bread and not enough sandwich meat.  I need to give this a try!
I agree about your Christmas mood philosophy!  I wish everyone would just be happy!

Hi Lyn,  I love Christmas too for the same reasons; people everywhere seem so nice and cheery. I always feel a bit down afterwards as if the niceness has gone for another year.

oh, i just LOVE christmas too! My favourite holiday by far. but things have changed so much recently, my brothers have their own families now, so Christmas has kinda changed for us, which does make me a little sad. but i'm still looking forward to the holiday.

Question, do you prefer Christmas in Florida or Christmas in the UK???
