Morning Campers.
Friday..woo hoo! Have to go in for a much needed staff meeting today at noon. We still have no office manager..they did offer me the position again and I again declined... I like my job working only 20 hours a week..and I want to keep it that way...they did ask for my opinion on the whole situation and they got it!! To add fuel to the fire our payroll did not go in on time to get our direct deposit and so they had to cut us live cheques.. if I hadn't called to tell them they would not have realized!! I was paying some bills online and noticed my cheque hadn't gone in....I am sure things will get heated in the meeting today... we all went to lunch with the lady they let go yesterday....she is leaving on Tuesday...moving back to Chicago...:-(
I have a couple of errands to do today... mail my packages to England .. picked up a couple more little items for my sister and have dads JD safely wrapped in bubble wrap... ;-) I just cleaned the pool..we have had some pretty heavy winds the past couple of days...there was a lot of pine straw in the pool...I will be glad when hubby gets back and can put the cover on for the winter....
Ryan got his first paycheck...how cute.. ;-) He seems to be taking to working okay.. I am happy... it keeps him busy and off the streets...
I bought a new outfit for the Christmas party.... glad that's over with... The top is a Black Camisole with a thin cardigan style jacket that goes over it..the jacket is black with threads of deep wine and gold coloured glitter on it..very shimmery and sexy ...nice dress black trousers..the very long and loose style...forget the name of them...Pallazzo maybe?? they are pretty nice..gonna throw on some high black heels and some long black earrings and viola!! I did try a couple of party dresses on but they are just not me and I would just feel uncomfortable all night... just found a picture of the style of trousers I'm talking about...see above....LOL

4....The new Christmas store that opened in the mall ...got a Christmas Ornament Angel for Dad to put on Mum's grave..
5..... The moon... sat outside last night..sipping on a glass of sherry and enjoyed the moonlight....

Oh the Christsmas Store! I remember those in Daytona Beach! I just couldn't help myself in those stores. I think I just about bought every ornament I owned in one of those! Thank you for the memory! I love it!

First of all I want to thank you for the laugh I got out of hearing you describe your dress "trousers." LOL "Trousers" is a word I've always associated with old man pants. I could read you talking all day, I swear.
GOOD FOR YOU for letting them have it about the office manager situation. You're right. That was about the most mean hearted thing I've ever heard of so close to Christmas. Hell, by THEN she might have gotten her groove on anyway and turned out to be a WONDERFUL office manager.
And not to scare you, but just a word of warning about shipping. I worked (briefly) at a shipping company called RPS in Nashville (located, ironically, right across the street from UPS). When I was first hired, I had to sit through FOUR DAYS of videos about how to load the trucks and how to handle the packages (that's 4 eight hour days). Finally, on the fifth day they took us out to the warehouse and the very first thing I saw (and I swear I'm not making this up) was one guy literally DROP KICKING a package from one guy to the another over a distance that I would have had a hard time throwing a ball (to give you an example of how hard the kick was). My boss, who had just spent four days with us training on the proper handling of packages did not say one word about it to either of the guys, rather acting like it never happened. I only worked there three weeks and I saw WAY more package abuse than that. So the moral of the story is: THE MORE BUBBLE PACK, THE BETTER. The word "fragile" doesn't mean a goddamn thing.
Love hearing about Florida. Started taping CSI: Miami just so I can look at it the palm trees anytime I want. Plus, (and don't tell anybody) but even though I'm a lesbian, I kinda have a tiny little crush on David Caruso.

Your outfit sound just wonderful....hopefully you will take a pic of you and hubby for us all to see???? and you sure seem to on top of it all with your shopping LOL....I am getting a bit here and there....but I don't have any to send off so far away...our friends who live in England are here in the states for three months so will be able to give them there in person LOL...we have a grand time together....in Destin, Florida....we will see them a week before Christmas and then the month of January....whooopppppeeeeee.....LOL...anyway...love your journal news....and well "a day without .......
