Army girls, Fairies, Santa claus and Mermaids....

Morning Campers.

Another chilly morning here in the Sunshine State. Yesterday was really windy and cold. First time I can actually say I was cold inside the house. Winds were from the north at 10 miles an hour... I have a lot of leaves I need to get cleaned up out front.I have a Magnolia tree that sheds leaves all year and the leaves are huge.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. I love fairies, elves, pixies, mermaids..anything mystical and magical. Also thought you might like to see my daughter and her friends dressed up for a costume party. The 2 large Santas are new.. I got them Thursday. I also bought Christmas cards. I have only bought 2 actual Christmas gifts so far though...I don't have a whole lot to buy anyway. I do remember the days of queueing up waiting for the toys..... ;-) I heard some women complaining in Walmart that they are doing away with Layaway after this year. I know that will hurt a lot of families.

Yesterday when I was leaving Walmart there was this young couple sitting on the tailgate of their truck with their dog holding up a sign that said "Driving through, run out of money, need gas and food" There is a Pizza joint in the same shopping strip so I was going to go get them a Pizza but someone beat me to it so I stopped and gave them $10 for gas. I like to think they were for real. I would hope that if my daughter was traveling someone would do the same for her. My hubby says I am gullible and that they were probably lazy buggers looking for a hand out.. I like to think otherwise... the cup is half full in my eyes... it was my $10 and I truly think they needed it more than I did and the reason doesn't really matter...

Well folks I am off to get my day started.. I feel like working outside so I am going to rake the leaves, clean up the lawns and maybe go get a pot of Mums to put out front...they have some gorgeous ones at the garden centre...

Enjoy your Saturday...

OH boy, do I ever miss WalMart!  I ABSOLUTELY adore your fairies and the Santa Claus's!  Those are fabulous!  Wish you could get things like that over here!  Your daughter and her friends are some very beautiful young ladies.
I agree with you about the $10...it's not about what the people you gave it to actually used it for...it's about the charity you feel in your own heart and your love and compassion for your fellow man....anything else is irrelevant.  Have a great weekend!

You have a good heart girl....and like you I like to think of the cup is half full....and we never know about where or how our kids will need help somehow one day....I like to keep my options open...bet you do too???  at least it gives us a warm heart and happy feeling that we did something nice for someone...and didn't think of an ulterior motive behind it all....happy day...and your ornaments are so pretty...hugs from KY....Ora

I have to say she certainly is a true beauty as an army girl or anything else.  Hope you have a nice weekend.  Take care.

That was really nice of you to help out that young couple. I started my Christmas shopping a few weeks ago. I really don't have a lot left to do, it's nice to not have that stress. I took down the Halloween decorations this weekend and was half tempted to put up the Christmas ones, but I'll try and wait a little while longer, lol. I love Christmas! Have a wonderful night.

I think that you did the right thing with the young couple.  It isn't up to us to decide who needs or who doesn't.  You can tell when someone needs the help.
Love the fairies and elves.
We don't use the layaway but I know some who do and you are right.  It will hurt.
