Good Morning campers!!
Hope everyone has their campfires lit this morning.. it is a nippy 42F here this morning...;-)

This week was my first week of the new schedule and I have to say I quite like it...I worked Monday and then have been off since..I work today and then have a 3 day weekend...not to mention I no longer have to stay late on Wednesdays..and with these dark evenings that is nice..I used to be there till 7.45 pm some Weds....

Not much going on around here..kids are busy doing their thing..thanks for the sweet comments about Ryan..I will definitely have to dig out an old pic of hubby to compare...we have a late Oktoberfest to go to tomorrow evening at the Commanders house...Monday is Veterans day and then hubby is going to Washington State for a 3 day conference Tuesday...it'll be thanksgiving the week after and then our trip out to California the following week...and then the real countdown to Christmas will be on..I need to get my gifts mailed to UK this weekend...other than that we don't exchange gifts with all the other family members (thank God) so I only have to buy for my lot here and co workers etc...I need to transfer all my emails to my address book and get organized for the Christmas card exchange..it'll be neat sending cards all over the states and to UK..Australia and Germany..;-)
The weather here is absolutely gorgeous..it's cold in the mornings but warms up during the day..the sky is a brilliant blue and the sun has been shining brightly ..it doesn't get much better than that... I have had my lovely new windows open and the house is aired out... we have been sleeping with the windows cracked and I haven't slept so good in ages...I hate the false "air" from the air conditioner all summer....I have the house all cozy with the Autumn decorations and the house smells wonderful courtesy of good old Yankee candle tarts in Autumn Leaves scent..even hubby noticed yesterday when he came home..he said the house smelt nice..that's a huge deal trust me...;-) In my flurry of "nesting" around here I decided to self clean the oven yesterday..I forgot I had a Pyrex dish in there soaking from the night before...yep you guessed it..it exploded!! What a noise and what a fright I got..so I had the pleasure of cleaning up all that glass... :-( I can't believe I was that stupid!

Anyway I am rambling on here..I will leave you with my five thankful's but first I wanted to mention the loss of Donna's darling sister..

My prayers are with Donna and her family at this sad time....may they find peace knowing that she is no longer suffering...
My five....
1. My home sweet home and all who live here are healthy and happy...
2..This incredible weather...
3... great books and days off to enjoy them...
4....Our new windows..it is a blessing to have windows that we can actually open...;-)
5..... All of you as always....

Hiya glad the new shifts are ok. Pretty cold here in the uk, windy rainy and brilliant sun shine to boot. There will be no leaves left on the trees when the wind dies down.
love and hugs

The pyrex dish made me laugh. I can just imagine the scare you had. Poor thing. Sounds like you have great weather where you are. :)

Sounds like a dream work week to me! I am always saying to Todd, it's too bad that we couldn't live here and get paid and I wouldn't have to do anything for it in return! FAT chance! Sounds like you have some busy times coming up! It's gotten quite a lot colder here just these past few days. Oh well, I knew it couldn't last forever! (the mild temps that is)
Have a great weekend!
