Good Morning Campers..

A few of you have asked me how the cat problem was and if any of the suggestions worked..well I did pretty much all of them except the fruit peels because I would rather have cats than rats.. ;-)
I raked up the crap..(bloody gross) then flattened the dirt out and sprinkled cayenne pepper on top and then hubby covered it all with cedar mulch and topped it with another layer of cayenne pepper..so far no evidence of them trying to dig up the mulch and no fresh poop on top...I would have let my dog out there but he is probably smaller than the cats..LOL
stay tuned.. we only did all this yesterday so fingers crossed...
I appreciate all the great tips..

You are right about that! We got our first cat because we had rats. no more rats for us. We do have a stray cat that hangs around our house and let him stay.

Nothing worse than the smell of cat poop, especially when it's the fresh air your wanting to breath. Hope this works for you ~ fingers shall remain crossed. Take care and enjoy your week,

Wow...I go away for a week and I come back to this cheery Christmas blog! Very nice. And that hash browns recipe sounds good, too.

We have trouble with cats too. But we have a bird table that attracts huge magpies, that seems to keep some of the damn moggies away.

What a great idea!!! I would never have thought of the cayenne pepper!!! I might try that in some places in my yard for the dogs. Hugs,

No Moth balls?

Hope it works!
A gross thing I have heard of is people buy bottles of urine from predators like wild cats and sprinkle it around to keep them away. I konw friends that will do that around their garden adn it works. I guess you can get it at hunting stores.

Hubby could relieve himself there too and that would help tremendously and fertilize everything. Keeps cats away!
