Good Morning Campers!!!
TGIW!! Yes today is my Friday.. ;-) I am going on my 6th 12 hour shift at the clinic..technically the clinic is only open 9am- 7pm BUT I leave my house at 8 am and very rarely get out of there before 730pm which gets me home by 8 if I'm lucky. I am sooooooo tired...let me recap the week so far...
Sunday...the smoke was awful here from the fires in Georgia.. I did try to lie out by the pool for a little while but it just wasn't the same.. I got a few things done around the house..
Monday.. part timer did NOT show up again..this time she was supposed to be helping on the check out desk which is a very busy place on a Monday...thank God we were pretty slow for some reason and I got a lot done in the way of stocking rooms and the organizing and ordering of supplies...
Tuesday.. she finally showed up..coughing and spluttering and whining that she didn't feel good.. I totally ignored her and told her to get her roller skates on as we were busy...she thought I was going to say " aww poor thing why don't you go home" after a week of not showing up? hell no! And would you believe she had the audacity to ask if I would work for her next Tuesday..she is already off Monday...I just gave her the famous lynda "stink eye".. LOL.. this was the first day I had worked a full shift with her in the back and I am not impressed..she has not learned a lot in the four months she has been with us and I do not see her improving... this is the girl that is in the nursing program but has no previous medical background.. she asked me yesterday what NKDA was.. she was trying to look it up AS A drug a patient mightbe allergic to as the patient had written that under allergies in her history...<shaking my head> I looked her straight in the eye and said "No known drug allergies" to which she replied "oh doh!" I said "no shit Sherlock" Yep I have had it with her... she left at 5pm and we still had 9 more patients on the schedule...If the office manager does not get rid of her then I am going to tell her I cannot work another shift with her..period...
okay enough of my work stuff..probably extremely boring to you I know... ;-)
How about AI last night?? they sang their hearts out..I think Chris and Lakeisha will go home tonight...or maybe Jordan...this is the only TV show I am watching at the moment...don't know if that is good or bad..probably good...
Not much else going on in my neck of the woods...haven't seen much of the family..have been going to the gym every morning before work too..this morning is the first morning I haven't gone.. I am just too tired and need to get a few things done around here before work..I haven't even read any journals..I tried to catch a peek at work but gave up...
hope everyone is well...have a great hump day..;-) I have the next four days off....
Just wanted to mention that my friend Jen could use some prayers..her kitty that she has had for 15 years died Monday morning...Jen is devastated.. she even made this tough old broad cry when she told me about it...like losing a family member...sorry Jenny girl..

Things don't sound too good in the first half of your post today.The fires in Georgia I hadn't heard about ???? API I love to watch,but it was spoiled for me last week as in USA you are before us in watching the program and someone in there journal leaked who had got knocked out.So for me it didn't seem the same.I love all music programs about the only thing I realy look forward to.At the moment I am enjoying Watching the show Greece where they are choosing another Olivia Newton John and John Trivola LOL!! What a laugh that has been ROFPMSL at some of them.and also Josephs Technicoloured Dreamcoat.Where they are choosing a new Joseph.So just now I am happy with my TV as I am not an avid TV fan.I am realy sorry about your friends pet.Send her my prayers please as I do not know her.Tell her she is in my thoughts thankyou.It's so sad.Take Care God Bless.Kath

I am so sorry about your friend's cat. I know first hand how hard it is since we lost our dog. What is up with the people that they hire at your office? Even I knew what NKDA meant! Hopefully they get rid of her and get you some real help. I don't find your work stories boring at all, keep them coming. Have a good day and enjoy your 4 days off.

Sounds like you have been soo busy! 12 hours shifts have to be the worst. But four days off? Heaven. Hopefully your boss will see that the part timer is no good. I have worked with my share of incredible losers! Sad.

Isn't this the greatest place to unload about that idiot you work with? Just get it off your chest. I, personally, love to hear all that stuff. LOL I cried too when I read Jen's cat died. I'm not a cat person but I can relate to the loss of a beloved pet. They are like your kids! Oh, do enjoy your days off. Relax and don't give that dingbat you work with with a single thought!

Hi Lynda!!! I can only imagine what you are going through with this part timer absentee dufus. This is typical of what we find sometimes for help in the employment market with our little side business. It can take months to find someone with any work ethics at all. I hope they find a replacement for her soon and get on with letting her go. Maybe she is still in her 90 day period. Florida law says you don't need a reason to let go of someone in that first 90 days so maybe they will do something. Well, back to my garage remodeling and hope ya have a great day! My Avon site is up and running again now that I am not on a moving hiatus if you need an Anew refill. I am loving my Therafirm and all of my other Anew products. Now I am working on my forehead wrinkles. LOL. Hugs,

We have our share of part timers on occasion (casual workers we call 'em) and we always end up carrying them. The only way to make the bosses see sense is to let the muck hit the fan. Then maybe they'll do something about it.

I hope you thoroughly enjoy your four days off! You know, even I knew what NKDA means! Hope you don't have to work with her much longer. I am so very sorry for your friend. It is horrible to lose a pet, but especially one that has been part of the family for so many years.

I'm one of those people that highly believe if your not qualified especially in a medical environment, someone needs to cut the strings. I'm with you on this one hon. The woman isn't even reliable for showing up for work. Enjoy your days off !!

I'm glad that you will be off the rest of the week! I go in at 8 and get off by 6:30 then fight traffic home. I understand :) I hope that they do get rid of her. It makes you wonder why they hired her in the first place.
The smoke here yesterday was awful. Makes you want to stay inside!

Tell Jen i am truly sorry. When my beagles pass, i will not be able to handle it. You listen to all my work stories so feel free to vent. I am proud that you stand up to these AH's. I hope the smoke has cleared and my Lyn can get her drink and book and go sit in the sun.
