Good Morning Campers!
Do you like hubby's new toy?? <sigh> We went "looking" yesterday and look what we drove home with...hubby has been wanting to trade in his 2004 Tundra for a while now because he put a lot of miles on it driving back and forth from New Orleans and as soon as they came out with the new Tundra I knew it was only a matter of time.. I was hesitant only because we had put $10,000 down on that truck and I didn't want to lose that..well we worked a deal yesterday where we came out with a new truck and a check for $9,000 and payments only $100 more than they are now...don't ask me how but we do have excellent credit and I drive a hard bargain...the actual truck we got is a limited edition and has all the bells and whistles..I will take a pic later and show you...hubby is as happy as a pig in shit and I am happy with the $9,000 LOL...as for me and cars I don't get the whole thing..as long as it gets me from point A to point B then I am happy... guess it's a guy thang... ;-)
I did want to go to the Shrimp festival yesterday but that was shot to hell after 5 hours at the dealership..why does it take soooooooooooooo long? I think today I am going to the base shopping and then probably hang by the pool...tomorrow I want to go somewhere..we are all off so maybe a little trip in the new ride... ;-)
Nothing much else going on .. tomorrow is our 24th Wedding Anniversary and the 4th anniversary of my Mums passing...no sign of Sidney the snake...ssssssss....we have moles now too ..hubby is NOT happy...that just reminded me he wants to put in a sprinkler system with some of that money.... I am getting excited for Di coming over...my sister tells me she is really down and doesn't want to do much when she gets here except relax...so I shall play it by ear and see what she is up for...I will just be glad to see her and give her a big hug.. it has about killed me not to be able to with her in her time of need...I am rambling here so let me stop...hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend and that the rain stops for you Brits...speaking of Brits..if you want a good laugh go read Gaz's version of the 7 things you never knew about me..I will warn you ahead of time it may be WAY more than you ever want to know and is X rated but bloody funny....

Sorry I have been such a stranger, but I'm working on getting back into the swing of things here in J-Land. I miss you too :).
The truck is awesome and I'm jealous...LOL Glad you were able to get it and enjoy such an awesome vehicle.
It's just me and the boys (Hershey & Jager) here at home on Memorial weekend. Bobby is in Missouri for 2 weeks with his parents and family. I had to stay and watch the kids, work and just couldn't get the time off.

Your new car is very nice ... I bet your husband will have lots of fun driving it about. Only thing that fascinates me is that when it rains does the back have a cover or does everything get wet? Glad the time is coming nearer for your friend to come over, bet you can't wait. So sad that your anniversary is tinged with the sadness of losing your mum. I agree with you about vehicles tho ~ mine is paid for and it runs nicely, just needs upgrades occasionally lol. Lovely toy! Lucky hubbie! Todd would love to have one of these. When we were last in Canada several years ago he was busy snapping photos of all the big trucks and very envious of them! I reckon I better take an extra film so he can do it again!

I think cars are definitely a guy thing. My nephew gets about 4 new cars a year. He just keep trading them in for something else. He said he gets tired of them. LOL His wife has stopped arguing with him as he's gonna go do it anyway and it's not like he's doing it at the cost of the welfare of his family who he loves very much and takes excellent care of. She reasons that he could be into worse things, like other women. Besides, to pacify her, he's been setting her up with some pretty sweet rides, too. He said the secret is to take really good care of the vehicles and to get to be buddies with the various dealers. I was at a BBQ at this house one time and he was introducing me to his friends. "This is so and so, I buy my cars from him. This is so and so, I buy my motorcycles from him." LOL

Your snake will sort out the moles. That's probably why he's hanging around. Hubby has turned into quite an American - buying that pick-up truck! That's one thing I see very rarely over here. I never thought I'd see the day that I would miss the sight of them!
