Good Morning Campers!!
I have fallen into the trap of reading my alerts and emails and running out of time to post an entry.. I am sure you can relate so this morning I am posting first. ;-)
Monday.
Our anniversary and Mums. ...said a little prayer for Mum and sat by her garden stone and had a "chat' with her...caught her up with what's going on in my life.. reflected a little and told her how missed she is...<sigh> hubby and I went to the Blue crab festival..it was HOT..we wandered around the arts and crafts booths..bought a couple of hand painted signs for the deck..then we drove to St. Augustine and had lunch at The Conch House.. it's a world famous waterfront restaurant with these totally cool individual tiki grass huts you eat in over looking the Marina...check it out..
We had a quick walk around the old town ..had an ice cream and then drove back through the country..it was a very pleasant day and a nice way to spend our anniversary...
Tuesday.
Had the Air Conditioner guys out to see why the kids side of the house is so HOT.. come to find out the ducts in the attic that run the cold air to their rooms has a leak and the air is basically blowing into the attic and not cooling their rooms..Doh! I have been saying this for ages but does anyone listen to me? nope... so they are coming back today to redo the ducts to 5 vents..let's just say mucho dollars..remember the check we got back forthe truck...as soon as you get some extra an expense crops up....:-(
Wednesday.
Quiet morning at work..one of the MA's and I went for a walk at lunchtime..we come back to find the building evacuated..nice...there was smoke coming out of one of the air conditioner vents...so we got to stand out in the heat of the afternoon and goggle at the hunky fireman in their sexy uniforms being all manly in front of about 100 females..LOL.. I was so wanting some striptease music so we could turn it into a male revue but for some reason that didn't happen...hey I can fantasize right?? We finally got the all clear and as you can imagine we were all backed up with all the patients waiting to be seen but it made the afternoon fly by....
So that's my week in a nutshell... as I said I have the AC guys in today...tomorrow I need to get my haircut and then Saturday we have been invited to the Beach house..looking forward to that..we will be staying overnight....should be fun...
I hope everyone is doing well.. I shall leave you with my five and then I need to come "visit' you all....

I hate it that your extra $$ is going for duct work but the kids will be cooler after its over. Rick and i would LOVE that restaurant you went to..it looks awesome!

I am glad that I am not the only "pig" out there! I just love seeing guys in uniform. Tomorrow we are going to a beach on base. I so hope that the marines are pt ing!

Happy anniversary! I also think that it is a lovely thing that you honour your mother as you do. I often wonder if my mum and dad are still around on the other side or if they have moved on. I love the Conch House. It is definitely worth the experience by the look of it.

Happy Anniversary! What a great restaurant! Glad you had such a nice time. Happy, too, that there was no fire in your office. What a mess that would have been. A hug to you for missing your mom. It's tough. We never outgrow our need for our moms.
