Weird old week...

Good Morning Campers!!

This has been the weirdest week...I got a phone call from my best male friend to tell me that his partner at the hospitals hubby was missing.. he went on a business trip failed to call her..she called BMW to have them track the car ..the SOS system had been disabled..his car (2008 BMW) was found on the side of the road..locked..keys and cell phone in it...credit card was used same morning to get petrol...this was Monday..he never showed for his business meeting..yesterday they returned to the scene with dogs and found his body in the woods next to the car..he was dead..from a self inflicted gunshot wound!!! His wife is 6 months pregnant with their first child...how terribly sad..what would pocess him to do that..there is a story there I am telling you..anyway here is the link if your interested...

I worked Monday..it was okay..work is weird these days too...can't put my finger on it but something is up...Tuesday I was off..went out in the garage where my washer and dryer is and guess what was on the rug in front of the washer? A SNAKE!!! Talk about scream my bloody head off..it slithered over in the corner.. I left the garage door open hoping it went back outside..hubby and son poked around looking for it..haven't seen it since but I have visions of it coming up the toilet...eek!!!! I worked again yesterday and today I am watching Maddie my goddaughter.. so far she has played the electric organ..coloured ..ate pancakes..got into my lipstick...drove the dog bananas and trashed every room in the house and it is only 9 am!! I need to get a shower but am afraid to leave her alone for one second..she is 3..I don't remember my kids being this destructive!!! She is not still for one minute unless watching TV...LOL........

This weekend is a holiday weekend here in the states..I am off until next Wednesday...woo hoo..I don't know what we are doing yet but I do know it will involve either the beach the pool or the lake as it is going to be a scorcher all weekend...

Got an email from my sister this morning...all is well their end.. we don't stay in touch as much as we used to...I miss my family...I miss how it used to be.. before my mum died and we were still so far apart Mum kept me in the loop with her gossipy phone calls..now I am lucky if we talk on the phone once a month....I am just as guilty...with the time difference it is hard to catch my sister at home and my dad is as deaf as a post and doesn't always hear the phone.... I guess it's true that the Mum is the glue that holds the family together...

Well I had better get off here and see what else Maddie has got into.. ;-) have a great Thursday...

You have my sympathy about the three year old in the house.  My sister and I were never as destructive as the little darlings I gave birth to!
I had a snake in the house two weeks ago.  <shiver>  I hate unexpected animals!

I know what you mean about turning your head and there goes the house with a little one being the cause of it all. So sorry to hear of your friends, partners husband. So sad to think he felt this was the solution.  I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend (watch the sun). Maybe you could drop a card in the mail to both your sister and dad? Sounds as though mom knew how to work the glue, could she have possiblly passed it on to you? Hope you have a wonderful day with a beautiful weekend to follow! Take Care,

Really enjoyed catching up on all your goings on this week!  You've been so quiet I was starting to get worried all was not well!  Enjoy the three year old!  Better you than me!

Marie

PS>  I mean to say how very sad that is about your friend's partner's husband.  How sad that someone would be in that place in their life mentally that they could do that to themselves and their family.  How very sad.

Maddie sounds like a relation to my children with all of the activity and messes going on.  Hope you survive the day!!  I love the font on this comment.  It seems smoother.  Did you program your journal to do that or is it new from AOL??  So sorry to hear about the man found dead.  That is just totally awful and freaky.  And I am really worried about that snake.  I sure hope you find it or maybe it left the premises entirely.  I found a black widow once when we first moved into our house in Florida and it was in the garage near our kid's toys... OMGarsh I was so scared and upset... and killed it myself... it was awful scary.  Big red diamond on a huge black round spider about the size of a baseball almost.  I was so freaked.  I have never forgotten that moment.  I felt like I was beating death though when I killed it.  Florida does have some moments.  LOL.  You hang in there and hope everything settles down into a really nice weekend for ya.  Hugs,
Lisa

I have a 4 yr old with me. We have already played pretend Mary knows how to cook you breakfast, get nail polish all over the table, eat ice cream at 10 am, wear all the blouses in the home as dresses, & water balloon explosion. ~Mary

I was blessed with my child being able to entertain herself as well as talk up a blue streak at that age. Never destructive though , sorry......As for the snake, inside the house they represent omens, meaning something is going to happen. It very well might of been what already happened with your dr. friends partner. What a sad thing to happen. I hope the shock, of her husbands death doesn't cause her to miscarry. Keeping them all in my prayers on the smoke. (Hugs) Indigo

That story is so freaky...I almost think there is something else to it -- but I watch a lot of Court TV and always think that.

I wanted to stop in and tell you thank you so much for stopping by and giving your support to Eric and I.  We greatly appreciate it!!

I'm thankful for a new reader and thankful to discover you as a new friend.

I'm so sorry to hear about the husband. . . yes there has to be a story behind all of that and I'm most curious.  I can't imagine what horrible circumstances would need such a permanent answer. . . just doesn't make sense.

Praying,
Holly

Really sad to hear about this man, whatever could have made him do it?  I feel so sorry for his wife and for her to be pregnant as well makes it even worse somehow.  Had to laugh about you and the snake ... I'd have gone crazy too.  Glad your sister contacted you, its true that mum's somehow keep the family together, even when rows go on.  I know you are really missing her at the moment.   Hope your weekend is good.  Hugs, Terry x

Blimey! What a week you've had. Such a shame about the suicide, I can't imagine how desperate you'd have to be to even contemplate such a thing.

Hope you have a snake-free weekend.

OMG!  It's been a week for suicides, man.  My sister is going to the funeral of the wife of one of the science teachers at the school where she teaches.  She shot herself in the garden and their 15 year old daughter found her.  They have no idea what would cause her do it.  She's a breast cancer survivor and the tough times seemed to be over...
The first thing I thought of was that perhaps she had just found out the cancer came back.  But my god, why do it where your teenager is going to fine you!

No doubt you are correct about the story behind the story involving that suicide.  What a horrible thing for that wife to go through at this time.  Ah yes, FL snakes are usually pretty big.  No wonder you screamed.

Hi Lyn,
Oh my gosh a S N A K E!! As in slithering, creepy and giving you a heart attack snake??? Oh Lyn, I would have left my house and cheked into the nearest Marriot (brand new one, very luxurious, has high-speed Interent....lol) and popped a Xanax while I caught my breath. This coming from the gal who is eventually moving to the country: in Missouri....LMAO!! Lots of snakes there. EEEEK! Your a very, very brave woman.
I read the article about the woman's husband. Just broke my heart. Why does it always have to happen to the good people such as her. A successful doctor, pregnant and now all alone. I hope she is surrounded by family right now and know she has a good friend in you.

Take good care and hope this week is great!
Big Huggers,
Gayla

Had to laugh at the snake.....sorry....i dont mind them...saying that i guess if it had happened to me would have been a differnt matter.
I know what you mean about your goddaughter......my grandson is coming up 2 and you have to watch him every minute.....he is in and out of every room getting up to some form of mischief.....i dont remember his mum being that bad,...lol
Take care Jayne
