Swimming pools and wanna be movie stars....

Morning Campers...

How is everyone?? Glad it's Wednesday.. I work today and then am off until next wednesday.. woo hoo!!

Lots going on. The in laws are keeping me busy. As you know I spent the day with my niece yesterday..she is so darn cute. She loved getting her nails done. .. she said she felt like a movie star... ;-) She spent the entire day with me. We went to the mall where I bought her a velvet colouring poster set...we also picked up a little something for her brother and sister. We finally went back to my Father in laws about 5pm..we had plans to go out for supper...we were sitting out by the pool enjoying the fresh air...the pool was covered as it's a little chilly now..anyways..Jesse-Mae the red headed toddler was playing .. skipping around..we were all outside..she was in plain view..well I was colouring with Lillie-Jane..step mother in law (AKA the witch) was holding the baby.. mum # 1  (Sharon)was on the phone.. Mum # 2 (Amanda) had gone inside to get ready.. next thing I hear the witch screaming ..I look up and sure enough Jesse-Mae has fallen in the pool and is under the cover!!!! I kicked off my clogs and jumped in and pulled her out.. I don't think she went further than the steps that lead down to the pool but she sure was terrified..bless her!! And cold.. needless to say her Mums both freaked out and it was a lesson to everyone that even right in front of your face tragedy can happen. Which brings me to my next story.. I don't know why but drownings always happen around me.. I am a Pisces the water sign if that has anything to do with it. The first drowning happened about 10 years ago in the house we were renting. If I have told this story before I apologize. It was 10 at night and I had opened the garage door to let Rachel in ..she was being dropped off by her friends Mum..as I was saying goodbye I heard a little girl crying..whimpering really... saying "moooommmy...moooommmyyy"... and sobbing... I thought who is outside this time of night? then I thought of the family next door with the pool.. I ran out back..grabbed a chair and looked over the fence..the little girl was on a raft in the middle of the pool crying and looking in the deep end..I asked her what happened and she said "mommy is asleep in the bottom of the pool" it was then I saw the body at the bottom.. I grabbed my phone dialed 911 and ran around to the house.. I couldn't get in as the gate was locked.. long story short with the aid of the neighbours I got over the fence..dove in and pulld the lady out..she was "dead" .. bloated and not breathing.. the 911 operator talked me through CPR as I panicked and couldn't remember how to.. rescue came and they took her to the hospital..she survived..she was in a coma for a few days and suffered short term memory loss but she survived.. I got an outstanding Citizens award from the Sherrif's office for that....fast forward a few years and  man drowns on the beach right in front of us after going in to retrieve my sons tube that had floated away...dies right in front of us.... see what I mean about drownings?? It really is starting to spook me....wonder what it all means or if it is just a coincidence??

Well people I need to go get ready for work..staff meeting today...have a feeling it's going to be interesting to say the least...Happy Hump Day to all especially Gaz and Phil the thrill..don't know why but hump day always brings them to mind... ;-)

My five...

1. Being able to save Jesse-Mae...I get goosebumps just thinking about it...

2.. Being able to spend time with Lillie-Jane...

3... Laughing at hubby..he called me at 3am his time a little worse for wear shall we say.... LOL

4.... This beautiful weather....so nice to step outside and fill your lungs with frsh air as opposed to feeling like being hit with a wet dishrag....

5..... Hubby will be here for sure sunday..he will only be here for less than 48 hours but that's so okay....

OMG. . My heart was racing reading that and what a hero you are!!!!!But for you the lady would have died. . thats really incredible what you did Lynn. Im glad the little one was ok,yes it can happen right in front of you ,if you are doing something its hard to notice just where the others are.You need eyes in the back of your head too with little ones.

That is so strange about all the drownings around you.  I am glad you are there when you are, because that one lady wouldn't be alive right now and that little girl wouldn't have a mother.
It's unnerving though.

I'm staying away from you and water, I love the water and also am the same sign as you. My birthday is 2-22. Sounds like a good day though. Happy you get to see hubby even though it's a short time only. So happy that Jesse-Mae is ok. It is very scary.

I just love your daily five.  I would start to be afraid of going near pools and water if I was you!  How eerie is that!

OMG!! I would have freaked! I would probably still be sitting in mental health rocking back and forth. I am anti water, ever since I was injured several years ago by 2 terrible boys who thought flip the tube when they arent looking pranks were funny in the pool. I went straight down bashed both my knees off the bottom of the pool and couldnt move. It was horrible, Justin had to play lifesaver and then tore those boys a new butt!  I am so glad that you were able to save Jesse- Mae! You truely are a blessing hon.

WOW!!  I want you around when I go swimming!  Maybe you were a mermaid in a previous life????  Glad this story has a happy ending!
Enjoy your time off work and more importantly enjoy 48 hours with your hubby - military wives are amazing women!

HI!!!  thank you so much for visiting my journal and leaving a comment.  I stopped in to check yours out and I like it very much.  A Pisces...hmmmmm.  I would research that about the drownings if i were you.  That would make me uncomfortable too.  I found zodiac things fun, usually. I don't plan my day around my horoscope but I do find it fun to read.
have a great weekend and please visit me at my place any time!
