Noo Deal :-(

Good Morning Campers!!

  Well deal or No Deal was definitely a No Deal for us  :-(

Here's how our trip went...

Wednesday: Arrive at airport ..flying US Airways..find out that they charge you to check ANY bag...$15 for the first $25 for the 2nd and $100 for bags 3-9...unflippingbelievable...fly to Charlotte NC...change planes to LA...while on flight you have to pay for every single item.. coffee..tea...soda...water.. EVERYTHING... get to LA..no bags..yes folks just like last time I flew they lost our bags.... fill out paper work etc etc..meet the guy with the deal or no deal sign...;-)  he drops us at the Hotel..we check in and then he leaves us to it...literally..we did not see them again until FRIDAY morning...the hotel is beautiful but with no clothes we can't do to much except sit by the pool in our grungy traveling clothes...we eat in the hotel restaurant and call it a night...

Thursday...I call the airline and they tell me the bags came in on a flight at 7pm and the bags were delivered to the hotel at 1am..(why did it take 6 hours to deliver bags 5 miles?) so I call the concierge and they tell me no bags...to make a long dull story short I had to make several phone calls and get pretty ugly in order fro them to search the hotel to find that the bags were put in LOST and FOUND luggage and not in the delivered luggage spot hence the concierge couldn't find them...so at 9am we finally get our bags and the hotel gives us complimentary breakfast delivered to our room..very nice it was too...;-)  we unpack get showered and call our contact at the studio to see if they need us..they say no but not to go too far in case they should wrap taping early and might need us..so we get the trolley to manhattan beach and so a scenic tour of the gorgeous houses..the beach the shops etc..we stop off at a couple of malls and then head back to the hotel (Brandon needs 2 hip replacements and can't walk too much).. we hung at the pool and then ordered in some food and got a good nights sleep ready for our "big" day...

Friday....we call them to see what time we are needed and they say be ready in the lobby at 9am...we get ourselves all prettied up and go to the lobby...they pick us up on time and we drive to the studio..when we get there it a lot of hustle and bustle..producers coming in and out ...telling us what we will be doing..how it will go etc etc..they have us hidden behind closed doors because we are the surprise guests..they move us to the green room and tell us hair and make up will be in shortly..as the producer is leaving he mentions that if the first contestant of the day ends up having  long show they "might" not have time to film us and if that happens they will release us and bring us back at a later date but not to worry because they doubt that will happen...anyway we get hair and make up..my god they put so much powder on me I looked so old!!! hated it! they didn't do much to my hair except flat iron it a little....so we sit and wait and wait and wait..they pop their heads in once in a while to ask if we need anything..there were drinks and snacks and a flat screen TV with movies etc..there was a bathroom in there too..thank god...this was 10am...at 1pm we get lunch...then we wait and wait some more...at 3pm some young girl comes in and says "okay we are releasing you" they quickly ushered us out the back door...still hiding us in case we come back to tape they didn't want the "surprise" ruined...and that people was that!!!! so disappointing...they said it happens all the time and they often have to bring people back..well I already told Brandon I won't be going back..you are totally responsible for your own expenses other that the hotel and flight...so we didn't get to meet Howie..Brandon didn't even get to say hi to his nurse...it was fun to be at the studio ..they film the new Bonnie Hunt show there <looks at Lisa Jo>  and we rushed past her dressing room..I saw her name on the door...LOL.. so anyway we go back to the hotel room and poor Brandon has to call everyone and tell them he didn't make it on the show..his Mum had spent a lot of money on buying him new clothes too...she said I hope you didn't take all the tags off..LOL..we had Chinese food delivered and went to bed....and Saturday we flew home....

so it was definitely No deal for us....:-(
