Good Morning Campers!!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. We did..the weather was cold but sunny..very refreshing...I absolutely love this time of year and try to relish it before the heat and humidity are back upon us. I am itching to get out in the garden though and pull up all the dead stuff and get some colour in my patio containers and hanging baskets but it's a little early for that yet..the sunshine is deceiving..we have had mornings in the low 30's...this morning it's 42F here with expected highs of 70..I'll take that...I'm watching my god daughter this morning as she was running a fever yesterday and day care won't let her back until she has been fever free for 24 hours so she gets to come hang with me..no kisses though as I am so not wanting to be sick again.... ;-)
We went to our usual Mexican joint Friday night and then onto the pub by the river..it was nice to get out the house..that was the first time I had been out since new years eve..can you believe that? I have missed several invitations to dinner and stuff and was beginning to get a little cabin fever..but an afternoon spent reading on the deck Sunday took care of that..anytime I can be outdoors I feel 100% better... I hope all of you out there who have been feeling under the weather are feeling better soon..it seems to have been a terrible winter for sickness..
Not a whole lot to report I'm afraid but that's all good..I am feeling better..pretty content with things so I have nothing to complain about..work is not very busy which has everyone a little nervous..of course at this time of year everyone has a deductible to meet on their insurance and a lot of medicines are going over the counter too and I think the economy is so tight that people are not so quick to run to the Dr. unless they absolutely have to..most office visits require a co payment and times are tough... I was sent home yesterday at 4pm because we were so slow..I was the only one in the position to be able to lose a couple of hours.all the other girls need their paychecks...scary times for sure...
Okay I am off to read a few Journals..I have got my in box under a 100..woo hoo! I'm still not getting all my alerts though..I don't understand that..I reset and reset and still don't get them....AoHell I guess...
A few things I am grateful for this morning...
1. My health....that Pneumonia did a number on me...I am just so grateful to be feeling like my old self again...
2.. My crazy little family..it was like a madhouse here last night..everyone telling jokes and goofing off..gave me the warm and fuzzies...
3... making new friends online...;-)
4.... This glorious weather.. <dodging dirty looks and snowballs>
5..... All of you as always..I am making the rounds..if I haven't been by I will...

I cant see your pictures.
I just updated (hint to head over there) about how busy we are, so I suppose people in NY arent worried about their Copay ! LOL
I'm glad your feeling better btw.
Big hugs,
Ellen
Sitting on the deck sounds wonderful. I know that sunshine can cure a lot of ills, and I need some badly. I'm looking forward to Spring. Summer and Fall hold lots of sunny days too, but I think that in Spring we appreciate them more as we've had so many dreary days all winter. Glad all is well with you. 'On Ya' - ma
Glad you finally got to get out of the house. I lose it after a few days! Even a trip to the grocery store can make me feel better!
Sunny and 70 would be wonderful. I'd be on the deck reading too! Soak up that vitamin D!

I LOVE the heat and humidity and I want them back!!!
I hate being cold.

Have a good week!

PS>Couldn't see any of the pics :(
all i see are X's!
I pray to God you do not ever get pneumonia again....i am SO glad you got out and had some time with friends and glad you also are feeling better. I KNOW you look damn good, regardless.
a good friend of mine has a doctor she loves...some young dude....i do not and have never had a regular doctor so i am going to go to this man in about 2 months....$20 office visit copay. I am going to be 40 & it is time i take control of myself...if i can lose the weight, i can see if i am really healthy. Now paying for whatever he wants done will be another story. It is so hard to have medical insurance and still be able to meet copays and deductibles PLUS live, pay bills, eat and work.
It will be 50 here today and 16 by nightfall with lots of snow. BS!
LOVE YOU GIRL,
lisa
I know this is the first time we have had to cut out expenses as low as we have. Even cutting cable and phone to save a little money! It sure is crazy! Anyway, I'm not seeing your pictures (they are broken) I think it's me tho cuz I'm trying to download things while I'm trying to read journals. I will come back and check them out again when I'm done. Glad you get to spend some time with your god daughter...you should take some pictures...or maybe you already did and I just didn't see them lol. Have a great day today :)
Glad your feeling better. I don't go to the doctor unless it is the last resort here, just can't afford it. But we have busy and bursting at the hospital. Can't wait until spring weather.
Julie
(((((((((((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU))))))))))))I am glad you are feeling bettre.I hope your God daughter feels better.have a nice day.
Rut Ro Shaggy, you had Pneumonia? I really have a horrible friend and MIA way too long, I'm sorry. I'm glad that you are doing much better now, that Pneumonia is nasty stuff though, I'm sure they told you that if you get a little too cocky and think you are all better and do too much you will be very sorry because it will come back like an ugly stepchild and bite you in the ass. So be careful and pace yourself.
Stacy
We too had a lovely sunny weekend. Made a nice change from the rain.
Sorry to hear you God Daughter is not feeling too well. Hope she gets better soon.

So glad you are feeling better and could get out of the house, Lyn. When we lost our store, we lost our health insurance and I got a new perspective on what people without insurance have had to deal with....it brought me off my high comfort stool and into the humble seat very quickly.
Glad your weather is nice....enjoy it and soak up the good feelings it brings along with it.
Pooh Hugs,
Linda
I love Mexican food! I need a margarita...so badly.. I'm glad you are feeling better! Julie
Oh darlin' is soooo good to have you back. I've never had pnemonia but it cannot be fun. I'm glad to hear you sound so up and chipper!
Love,
MJ

I also love to get outside. I have to have my sun. This past week it has been cold and we have gotten a ton of rain, so I have been a little bummed.

Yes times are so tough. So thoughtful of you to put the other girls before your needs!! You have a big heart Lyn and I am so proud to call you my friend! I can't tell you how many times I wanted to go to the doctor this year but I could not because of the co pay or before we had this great insurance even!!! Many blessings to you!!!
Lisa

I cant even get on my journal, everything I wanted to write has gone into a big black hole in my brain, yesterday I couldnt read anybodys GRRR; glad your feeling better beckie x
Delighted to hear your feeling better hon. I used to laugh when people didn't realize that Fla. does have a few chilly months, were it gets downright cold at night.
But then again I lived in a home without air conditioners so it was those few short months you could sleep like a baby....(Hugs) Indigo
Glad you are feeling better and I hope you enjoyed looking after your god daughter :o)

I am glad you are feeling better, there's nothing like a bout of illness to make you realise just how good it feels to feel good again, if you catch my drift.
Oh yeah, thought you said your blog wasn't as bright now! :o0

We have had such a strange mix of weather lately -- sunny, beautiful and fairly mild one day, then cold, raining, and high winds the next. I was just debating on whether or not to go to the doctor myself. I've had a lot of head congestion that OTC meds haven't been able to get rid of, so I guess I'll pony up the dough and visit my doc tomorrow.
Lori
these ARE scary times...I go in some of the offices for their labs and sometimes they are so crowded, people are sitting in the floor or outside in the halls......and the ER, that is where the people go without insurance...it is overflowing too. so much that they are diverting ambulances to other hospitals.....money and health are such uneasy companions....
EWhen I come see you in FL, I want you to take me to that Mexican.
Gaz xx
PS, I'm glad your'e feeling better.
So pleased you are feeling better ,I hope you have fun with your God daughter ,..love Jan xx
Sounds like things are going well in your neck of the woods. I'd give my left..... whatever for things to be calm and content around here. LOL Complication seems to be the word of the year so far.
Anyway, glad you're enjoying time with your god daughter and that you've also been able to enjoy mild weather. It won't be long before we are all burning up.
Take care. Have a good week. Barb
So glad to hear you are finally feeling better! :)
Gillie
