Computer problems

Good morning campers!

I had to have a new mother board put on my computer so I have been offline for a few days. If it's not one thing it's another huh? But I am back now and all is well except the computer guy appears to have not backed up everything and I have lost a lot of my programs...grrrrr!

Nothing much has been happening in my neck of the woods anyway..it has been pretty chilly here.. work has been uneventful except that they have once again changed my schedule..but the last laugh is on me because I now work Monday and Tuesday and off the rest of the week..who hasn't dreamed of a 2 day work week and a five day weekend?? LOL..as I predicted the new girl could not handle the front desk on a Monday so they had to ask me to go back up there .. the last time that they forced the schedule change on me I was promised that if there was ever another schedule change I would be guaranteed my 2 days together..so voila they need me Mondays so they had to give me Tuesday...trust me I am feeling very smug right now...evil I know but I can't help it!! ;-)  The new schedule goes into effect the first week in Feb.

Hubby caught my cold but at least his didn't turn into Pneumonia..I will be glad when all the germs are out of the house..we have cold medicine and cough drops..tissues..vicks..you name it it's cluttering up my kitchen counter...

Well this is a boring entry if there was one...I am off to catch up with you guys...I will obviously be deleting and starting over..my in box is at 500 again...hope all is well with everyone..please email me if I have missed anything okay??

hugs

L

Puffs has out a new tissue (new to me anyway) that has the vicks vapor infused in it.  That was very useful during my cold this season.  Glad you are feeling better and your new schedule is indeed sweet!  Estela

Sounds like a great schedule to moi!!! :)

I read that putting Vicks on the bottoms of your feet - and then socks over - when you go to bed will keep you from coughing. Some friends have tried it and say it works!!! It's worth a try.....

Take care,
:) Carol

Ha that's funny but I think if your going to be that flexible for them they should grant you what you want.  THATS how good workers should be treated!
We just got rid of all our colds too here FINALLY too!

How much did you have to pay that computer guy for that?? My son would have even know to make sure you download EVERYTHING they want!  My hubby  has SO many side jobs for doing that...it's easy  and they love that he takes the time and asks them what they would like transfered over and does it right!   He's thinks its pretty foolish what they usually charge for doing that.

Hey Girl. Sorry I haven't been around in a while. I read most of the entries I missed. Sorry you finally got the crud. I was the 2nd one to get it & I'm pretty sure I had pneumonia. My temp got up to 104 twice and never went away completely.I was coughing up bloody stuff.  I had arefinll of some antibiotics so I got those filled. I decided if I didn't get better in a couple days I would call my Doc or  go to the ER. I'm fully recovered and I think everyohne sels is to.
Sorry to hear about your puter problems. SO irritatintg isn't it ?
Just wanted to stop in since it's been a while. I had almost 900 alerts and emails. I just haven't felt like putting in computer time.
Take care of yourself.
Hugs, Barb

Hey you!!  Look who's back .... for good this time.  And no I have't taken down the Christmas decorations in my journal yet, lol.  I am so sorry that I have been an absentee new friend to you, all I can say is I got myself stuck in an email loop from hell that blew up my mailbox every morning with the most boring drivel ... but I AM FREE ... free again ... and I can finally get back to visiting journals that I enjoy (you are at the top of the list) and maybe even posting in my own once I take down the tree and do a little dusting.  ::g::  Thank you for sending little kicks in the tush and asking where I was every now and then ... I promise I am here to stay this time.  Now what have I missed? lol

I'm glad you can come back and post now.  I'll be glad when the flu season is over with.  500 in your inbox! I think I'd just start all over and delete a bunch.  I have to when I get several days behind, just deleting by the same author.  I love the way you worked it out for your work.  That made me so proud of you.  Working smart.  Sorry about the loss of your programs it's a shame that shouldn't have happened.

Welcome back,

Knock on wood I have not had the icky crud yet. A couple of times I felt the sneezies coming on, but it was only allergies. Hopefully my flu  and pneumonia shot wil help. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better and getting over your sickness.

Hello, Lyn,  Thanks for visiting my site.  I think I'm going to forget about the must unless it's link someone can just click on at will.  I'm finding a lot of people don't have their sound on or would rather not have sound...there are some who like it but with AOL right now...I'm abandoning that for now.    How do you do it keeping up with all the jlanding? I think I would have to just hit delete all if I ever got 500 backlogged emails...sometimes I consider it with only 100!  LOL...  Have a nice day and enjoy your new motherboard!  Maria
