what a truly awesome and interesting tradition! Traditions are so important, even when your kids are older and i had never heard of this. Thanks for the info. XOOX lj
Very nice tradition. Just think one day your children will be doing that tradition with your grandchildren. Take care, Chrissie http://journals.aol.com/nay0114/almost-paradise-ii/
Don't let her fool you, folks! That Christmas Cracker story is all malarkey! They were drunk off their asses and, unlike us Americans --who wear lampshades on our heads when we're drunk-- Brits like to wear paper crown and pretend they're part of the Monarchy. ;) Actually, I think it's an awesome. I love hearing about traditions that we don't have. That's why I was so glad my little cousin had the traditional Polish small dance at her wedding because we seem to be letting our traditions go down the drain...
LMAO! I remember having a conversation with Adam and his family and not believing that yall dont have Christmas crackers. Adam thought I was calling him a cracker! Its crazy.

Thank you for sharing that link! I love learning new things and love learning about traditions of other countries!! Next December I think Jacob and Jack will do a study on other countries Christmas traditions and this will be one we look into doing!! Off to get caught up on the rest of your entries!!

That was so interesting Lyn! Thank you for sharing! I hope you and yours had a very Merry Christmas and New Year!
I think I'll order some of these for next year. How neat it would be to introduce my extended family members this tradition! Sounds pretty cool.
