Good morning Campers!!
I hope everyone had a safe New Years. I wish you all that you wish for yourselves for the upcoming year and more....;-)
We had a nice evening..we went to a friends house.. had a little party..a few drinks..some fireworks ..all outside on the patio..gotta love New Years eve in Florida..but my did the weather change..take a look at what's in store for the next few days!

I don't mind...it's nice to be able to actually wear some of my sweaters and scarves..I am a big scarf fan and always wore them at home..probably because I come form a University town and everyone wore scarves...not to mention we get to light the fireplace...all the Christmas decorations are down..the house is cleaned up and I have to say that as much as I love the holidays it's nice to get back to some sort of normalcy and our usual routine...that won't really happen till Ryan goes back to school though which is not until the 7th...
I am not really making any new Years resolutions but I do have some "goals"... I was looking back at my list from last year... I managed to cross a few things off that list..this year I want to get back to the gym..there was a spell when I was going every morning and I felt great and really enjoyed it then I got out of the habit and I am committed to going more..at least 3 times a week if not more...I want to travel more this year too...we only went on one trip this past year and that is very unusual for us.. I can always improve my patience level and I also want to get to the bottom of my mood swings...hubby will be glad to hear that I am sure...;-)
I am rambling on a bit this morning so i shall leave you with my first list of good things for 2008...
1. New Year..the feeling of a clean slate..a fresh start...I am always energized at the this time of year..kind of like the first day of school...;-)
2.. My family and friends..I am very blessed..
3...Amazing sunrise this morning..and steam rising from the pool..a beautiful sight...
4....the 2 dozen roses hubby had delivered to me for the new year in which we will have been married 25 years... <sigh>
5..... All of you as always...

Awwww.... what a wonderful 'just because' gift from hubby!!!! Happy 2008 to you and yours, Lyn! Time she flies... doesn't she?
I tell you Lyn, when I started having the peri-menopause moodiness, I started a low dose (10mg) of paxil, and it helped a TON! So much so that my hubby calls it the miracle drug!!! lol

I must agree with you... I took all the Xmas decorations down, and it's nice to have the house looking normal again-all clean for a new year! :) I wish we had your weather this week. A major rain storm is headed our way this week! Take care and stay warm! Julie :)
I think I'll leave the tree up for a few more days. The kitten loves to climb it and thinks the decorations are all cat toys. I don't want to deprive her just yet ;-) Cin
It was 22º here this morning and will get down into the lower teens tonight. My Christmas decorations are down also. I haven't set any goals for 2008. Good luck on yours. They sound like good ones. Nice of hubby to get those roses for you. Helen

Awww... hubby is such a keeper congrats 25yrs is awesome. Hope you guys have a wonderful New Year with lots of blessings. Let me tell you if you're getting the storm that rolled through here those winds are something else and the wind chills, not much snow, just cold. Nice list of good things.

I like setting goals for myself too. Much better than 'resolutions'. One of my goals is to travel more in 2008. I can't get enough of that. I also want to go to the gym on a regular basis. I was before we went to Mexico then ... once you get out of the routine it seems easy to forget.
