Tuesdays with Lyn

Good morning campers!!!

Yes a real entry from me....the family has all left...well the girls are down in Orlando doing the Disney thing..their flight back to UK is Thursday....I love Lester's sister but she has a huge chip on her shoulder and being around her is emotionally draining..she feels she does not get treated as equally as the boys and is always finding ways to point this out..this led to a family argument Friday night in our fav. Mexican restaurant..after 2 pitchers of margaritas mind you..;-) to be honest it was a bit embarrassing but not surprising ..whenever the Hatfields all get together there is usually a row involved...I won't bore you all with the details but one of the ridiculous ideas that came up is that she feels that she wasn't included in the plans for her Mums funeral (10 years ago)..that when she got into town the burial plans had been made...she knew her mum wanted to be cremated..I knew this too so it is a little odd that Lesters's dad didn't..anyway it's too late now...or is it? she wants her mum dug up and cremated....now you can imagine this argument after a few too many drinks can't you?? That was just one of many issues bought up...it was an emotional evening and a few tears were shed but at the end of the night she was shooting pool with her brothers and all was well again....for now...;-)

It is chilly here..rainy chilly and overcast ....of course I love the refreshing change from the heat and humidity..not to mention that it gets you in the mood for the holidays...I haven't started Christmas shopping yet but I will soon trust me...;-) I did buy two boxes of English Christmas crackers..they aren't easy to find so when I see them I snap them up....

The atmosphere at work is better and I am glad that I took one for the team and agreed to the new schedule... LOL..at least it makes the working conditions better for everyone else and I am all about that...the office manager has made herself look like an idiot in my book ...evidently the Dr's asked her what all the fuss was about because they see that I am fine and my usual cheery self and that they don't know why she thought it was all going to be such a big deal....  :-P  I really should wear that devil costume for Halloween huh?

My car is going in the body shop today..finally...I will be glad when that's all over with...speaking of which i must get off of here and get showered I need to drop it off by 8...I am fighting this upper respito funk that is going around and really feel like just crawling back in bed and sleeping but I have a to do list a mile long as usual....

have a good hallo eve... ;-)

Sorry the visit got stressful. It's funny what people feel I guess that's what makes families fun everyone is different. Two PITCHERS of margaritas will bring out all kinds of emotions. We've been having chilly weather here too. The heat is on at night. Glad you're getting your car fixed. Hope you get some rest and feel better soon.
Take care, Chrissie

HI Lyn,
I'm glad that you have some time alone, sord of...LOL. It seems that when family gets together, there is always one that has the chip on their shoulder and insists on letting everyone know about it! LOL Been there and done that.
Nice thing about Bob's family (but it's weird too) is none of that goes on. I think they keep it inside or never really get it out in the open. I'm all for getting things out in the open but in the right place AND at the right time. It's healing, as long as nobody gets hurt.

Have a great day and I miss ya,
Gayla

It's nice to know your workplace is a better place for you right now.  I'm lucky that I work with such nice people and there is very little office strife.  That must have been a really fun argument.  Have a happy Halloween. ; )

People with a chip on their shoulder, like my own daughter Brandy, is like having an emotional lypo suction done.  Just totally drained emotionally, spiritually, physically.  I cannot even begin to imagine if alcohol was involved how much worse it would be so I have one of those people in my family, therefore I understand.

Sorry about the car in the body shop.  Being without the car is hard.

Have a happy Halloween,

lol...families..you never know what sticks with them or why they need to hang onto it..I think sometimes it comes from an element of guilt. Maybe your sil got it off her chest and can let it go now...hopefully:)
Glad to hear that the work enviroment is better..You have a great day!\

I hope things in your family settle down and you have a peaceful Halloween. I cannot imagine after so long wanting to disturb a loved one after burial. For one thing....the cost would be outrageous! But, if that's what you really want, then I guess it would be worth it. I don't know really what to say on that.
Maybe she's feeling guilty about things. Guilt will do weird things to people.

Have a great Halloween!!!
Pam

Don't you just love family get togethers ... oooh I can't believe she wants to get her mother's grave disturbed, that is really .... disturbing!  Glad you have peace and quiet again and the grave robber has departed.  I am just catching up again and reading back, so when I saw your pics of English sweets I thought, ahhhh.  If you ever want anything, let me know and I'll post it to you, no problem.  By the way,
who is the bloke on the deckchair?  I don't know him ... am I being thick/old/confused?  Have a lovely halloween.  Hugs, Tells x

Happy Hallo Eve to YOU! Enjoyed this entry...Are you serious about the cremated after burial???? I have a daughter that is a bit that way...she has grudges about imagined (Or percieved) injustices done to her from the time she was a born up to now!!(She is 19) She will literally say...When I was 2 years old...and complains about something she dosen't remember the way the rest of us do...and I have a VERY large family...LOTS of kids (She even has a Twin Brother) sooo I know all about tention and being emotionally drained at and after family gatherings.LOL
