Good Morning Campers!!
How are we all this morning?? I hope everyone here in the states has plans to do something they enjoy this holiday weekend...whether it's a barbecue..a trip to the beach or lake or just a lazy weekend at home..I hope you enjoy it. To me it signals the end of summer..although that is not really so here in the sunshine state..we will not see any real change in the weather for at least another month or so...but it does make me at least THINK fall... ;-)
I have had a pretty decent weekend so far...hubby and I chilled Friday night and watched movies.. it was raining and neither one of us felt like going out....yesterday we got up early and did some weeding and general tidying up in the yard...then we went shopping and bought a couple of new plants and some Adirondack chairs for under the pear tree in the back yard..we did have a bench under there but it had seen better days so hubby demolished it and took it to the dump along with several bags of yard waste and some old tyres....what is it with men and going to the dump..he loves going there...LOL.. we also bought a steam cleaner for the carpets...we finally got wise and figured the money we pay for them to come and clean the carpets one time would buy a machine...light bulb moment...LOL..so we had a little play around with it yesterday and it works well....we got a Bissell...I am ashamed at the colour of the water that came out of it...OMG....I am a clean person I swear!! But anyway the house smells really fresh right now...last night we went for Sushi and a couple of beers and then picked Ryan up from work and came home and crashed...hubby had a little date with Jim Beam last night,...don't know what that was all about as he normally only drinks beer but he wasn't feeling very chipper this morning as he headed out for golf....I wanted to go back to that church this morning but Ryan has to be at work at 11 and Rachel is working so I guess that leaves me to give him a ride so no church for me..and yes I am disappointed....I really enjoyed it last time and felt the urge to go again...the last few weekends I have had something going on and I won't go once my dad gets here... <sigh> We are cooking ribs on the barbecue tonight...then tomorrow we are off to St. Augustine for the day.. I am sad because Rachel has to work a half day tomorrow so she won't be coming but one kid is better than none....we are going to walk around the town and have lunch and then stop at the outlets on the way back as Ryan needs some new shoes and hubby wants to look at golf clubs and I am sure there is something I can find to buy..;-)
As you might be able to tell my mood has improved tenfold and I am almost back to myself...hubby commented yesterday that is was nice have "Lyn" back..made me happy and sad at the same time .. I must be awful to live with sometimes...I know I am rambling on here this morning but one last thing...I know I must be the last person on the planet earth to discover Sudoku.. well actually I have seen it for years but never took the time to try it..well I tried it and like everything else I try I am addicted...LOL.. anyone else play it??
Have a great day everyone!
PS My fella over the pond is down in the dumps can you all go by and show him some love??? he is my brother from another mother and I hate to see him feeling like this.. Tell him I sent you and please give him some cyber Prozac from me okay??? cheers!
His name is Gaz...

I don't do Suduko very often but hubby is an addict to the AOL online Med puzzle never misses a day. Have a great weekend. Love Joan.
I really need to clean my carpets. I found using very hot boiled water in steam cleaners makes the carpets even cleaner. I need to buy a steam cleaner, I usually just rent one and by the time I pay for rental and attachments, and spot remover and shampoo, it is almost 60.00. Have a great weekend. (((((hugs))))))))
Cindy

Oh no, you're not alone in the love of Sudoku...I have this HUGE book of those puzzles...that made the flight to and from NY with me the other week. I've not "perfected" it yet, but love it all the same.
No plans for the weekend. Hubby needs to rest up as he was on the road all last week.
Glad your mood is still lifting and your spirits are soaring.
Hugs,
Cindy
I love Sodoku!
Enjoy your weekend.

Here in Philly it's very warm, supposed to be 90 by Tuesday. I'm so ready for Fall!
LOL, I've cleaned my carpets about 4 times since Jan and it nevere ceases to amaze me the color of the water that I suck up out of there...awful!!!!
I've NEVER had sushi....I'm too afraid to try it! I can't even chew let alone swallow steamed clams!

So pleased you're feeling better, those black moods can really drag you down sometimes.
I tried sudoku but could only do the simple ones so I gave it up.
Have a good week.

Sounds like my kinda weekend except for the date with Mr. Beam. I'll head on over to see your friend and share a smile or two! Take care and enjoy yourselves. Gods patient, he'll wait for you!

I'm a man that doesn't care to go to the dump, although I have been a few times in my life. LOL I think Gaz is doing OK. He's a pretty cool dude. Have a nice Labor Day . . . Labour. LOL
Phil
It was so weird to read Gaz's entry about being down. The universe just isn't right when that guy is blue!
Russ
Glad your feeling better. I'm sort of happy summer is over, all the pressure to be outside having fun, who needs it !!! LOL, no seriously, school starts in two days here and I've been busy with that, so, I welcome the Labor day holiday to not have to work.
Be well,
E.
It does sound like a very nice weekend and glad your mood has improved for sure. Our church has 4 different times on Sunday and even a Saturday evening service that counts for Sunday so if things come up there is always another chance to go at a different time. Rarely do I miss a Sunday. I either have to be sick or out of town not to go. Very often even if I'm away visiting one of the babes, we still go to their church. Too bad you can't go and take your Dad along instead of the other way round. I'm not much good at puzzles and have never tried Sudoku, but I know a lot of people enjoy it. 'On Ya' - ma
so glad you had a nice weekend....i hope you had a great Sunday too...i'd love a trip to a beach but no beaches near here! Love, lisa
Hi sweetie! Have fun tomorrow! Love you. Traci
Hi {{{Lyn}}}
It's so nice to hear from you! I do remember you from my old journal Ü. I am sure you must have thought the worst! I just couldn't write after a while, but that was so selfish of me-with all the people praying for us. I must go back and update. Mark is doing wonderfull Ü. I don't know if you remember or not, but I made a huge prayer book for Mark when he was in the coma, of all the prayers you and everyone else sent to the journal. I can't tell you how loved and over whelmed Mark was when he was finally able to read them all. He is truly a miracle Ü. Please keep coming by and saying hello. I have you on my alerts.
Again it was so good to hear from an old journal friend.
HUGS,
Donna

Hi sweetie, glad you are ok and your mood is better. You have a lot going on especially with your father in law having such a major op and you are running a busy life. I get down when I think of all the jobs I am responsible for but then most of them can wait until tomorrow. Your bissel sounds fantastic ... I dread to think what the water would be like if I did mine. I have been looking at carpet cleaners for a while but just can't make up my mind what to get. When is it your sister and dad are coming out, that should really cheer you up. Hugs as ever, Tells x
"Where do you live?? you must be close to me..lizards are everwhere here..and cooler temps this morning here too...not quite that cool though.. I wish....

Good Morning Lyn,
I'm in the middle part of SC. My 5 yr. old grandson LOVES the fact we have lizards galore. LOL
Our high is supposed to be 91 today, and 95 tomorrow...so I KNOW summer isn't through with us, yet. A girl can wish though, right?
Yes, Seanna is a precious one...and a fighter!---> Very important. ; )
Enjoy your day, too!
