Childhood meme....

 This has been making the rounds so thought I would give it a whirl seeing as I can't sleep....

The Childhood Meme

1. Are you a child of the 70s, 80s, or 90s?

I was born in 1962 so primarily the 70's...I had the chopper bike with the streamers..loved The banana spilts..one banana two banana three banana spilt..tra la la.. tra la la la... LOL

2. Where were you born?

Bicester Cottage Hospital. Bicester, Oxford England.

3. What kind of home did you grow up in?

We lived in a cottage until I was 3 and then moved to the 3 bedroom semi detached that my sister and dad still live in.

4. Did you enjoy your childhood?

Yes!! I have amazing memories.. Christmas especially. We did a lot of things as a family and always went on holiday ..usually in a caravan to pontins ...happy days!!



5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a dancer on Top of the Pops..LOl But later in life I wanted to be a Social Worker. I did neither.. :-)

6. What do you want to be now?

Content..which I am for the most part.


7. What was your first best friend's name?

Sarah Mitchell.

8. Is she still your friend?

no..have no idea what happened to her.. :-(

9. Can you name all the schools you ever attended?

North Kidlington County Primary School. Gosford hill Comprehensive School.

10. Were you closer to your mom or dad as a kid?

My mum when I was little but once I hit puberty my dad.

11. What was the first record, tape or CD you remember buying?

David Cassidy....LOL.. "I think I love you"

12. How old is a good age to have kids?

I had mine when I was in my 20's and it has worked out pretty well. Now they are independent we are still young enough to enjoy life.

13. Are you scared of anything?

You would be surprised at how much I am scared of. I don't like doing things for the first time. no matter what it is. truly scared though I would have to say anything happening to my kids or my hubby.


14. What was your favourite class in elementary school?

reading.

15. Did you buy school lunch or bring your own?

bought school lunch..yum..loved there jam rolly poly and custard..LOL

16. Broken any bones or had any freaky accidents as a kid?

No but I was always ill..I was a "sickly' child.

17. Were you a mean kid?

No but I was an awful teenager.

18. Favourite board game of all time?

Snakes and ladders and tiddly winks.

19. Did you play house or pretend to be a super hero?

play house.. I had a Wendy house that I lived in!

20. Seriously, are you still just a kid at heart?

I am definitely in touch with my inner child yes..I love to have fun and try to live each day to the fullest.

I loved this ! This was great!!! and David Cassidy.....mmmm...yeah...I loved him too!!! and he still looks good even now that we are all a "bit" older!!!

Lots of good memories. Banana Splits on a sat morn, wacky races, captain caveman. Mum wouldn't let me have a chopper so used to ride backie on my mate Marcia's lol.

ohhh. mmmm.....David Cassidy.  I totally adored him.  I wanted a banana seat on my bicycle...but I didn't have the right kind of bicycle.  It would have looked really wierd now that I think about it.  My bike was too high rise...you needed a low riser for one of those with those big long handle bars.  My brother had one of those.  I bet you'll sleep better tonight!

I love the names of your schools. I am glad you had a good childhood and i bet your memories are fascinating. You should tell us more about your childhood.

ill never grow up now my kids are as nuts as we are.Just the other evening jordan had a prawn cracker on his head and i was trying to shoot it off with an elastic band.And I done it too!!!Beckie.xx
