Tarot card reading

I recently had my cards read..here is the reading...I won't post any more entries today I promise... ;-)

Card 1 This card is your personality.  King of Pentacles.  You are a person of power and influence.  You find opportunities everywhere.  You are practical and see things in a worldly fashion.  You are steady, methodical, and reliable.  You think before you act and can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

Card 2  This card shows obstacles or influences that stand in your way.  9 of Cups.  The Wish Card.  You want it all and you want it now!  You want all of your dreams fulfilled, even if it only lasts for a little while.  You want emotional and material stability, good health, and great happiness, even though it might just be temporary.  This desire for perfection in your life is working against you.

Card 3  Your present Situation.  Page of Cups.  You have a young man in your life that is important to you.  This young man has a carefully controlled exterior but it masks the volcano of emotions that lie within.  You are having trouble truly knowing him right now.  He is very careful not to let other people see his true emotions and he is very suspicious of other people's motives.  He never forgets a kindness nor an injury.  Right now, dealing with this boy is taking up alot of your time and energy, and you are feeling frustrated by the whole process.

Card 4   Root of the Matter.  This card represents the influences and events of the past that have made you what you are today.  Major Arcana 12 Sacrifice.  This card depicts a major influence in your life, not a transient one.  In the past, you have had to pay dearly for what you want.  You have made many personal sacrifices willingly.  You were forced to recognize the necessity of change, which involved letting one thing go, in order to gain another.  You gave up a long-cherished dream.

Card 5.  Recent Past Influences.  10 of Swords.  Sorrow and Tears.  You recentlyhave had a very rude awakening.  You were deeply disappointed and it caused you great dispair.  You need to realize that an inevitable ending has taken place, because what you had was based on a false premise.  Learn to be more truthful with yourself in the future.

Card 6. Influences in the Near Future.  7 of Cups.   This card represents any influences that are likely to come into play in the near future.  Delusion.  You are still deceiving yourself.  You might think you are achieving something, but you are deluded.  Alot of opportunities surround you, but you cannot keep all the options open forever.  You must make a decision based on careful consideration to make any of the possibilities a reality.

Card 7. Your Attitude.  This card demostrates how your attitude influences circumstances.  King of Swords.  You feel as though you have a great mental grip on what is happening around you.  You feel that you have had some inspired and innovative ideas and it is time to move decisively and put them into action yourself.  You see yourself as a great communicator.  This also speaks of teaching and passing on knowledge to someone else.  You an be ruthless when you know you are right.

Card 8. Views of Others.  How others view you and your present situation.  10 of Pentacles.  Others view you as one with material abundance.  You are financially secure in their eyes.  They see you as a person that has a very strong family union and strong traditions that last.

Card 9.  Hopes and Fears.  Your inner feelings.  The Major Arcana Card 14 The Devil.  You have inner fears that are holding you prisoner.  You have created inner demons - deep fear, hatred,  prejudices and a feeling of self-disgust.  This shadow side of your being is suppressing an experience that you refuse to face and deal with.    The inappropriate response is weakening you and putting you in danger of becoming an emotional cripple.  This card is a Major Arcana Card and so it is a major influence in your life and should not be taken lightly.  Face your deepest fears and negative attitudes, find their sources and release them.

10. The Outcome.  This card reveals the eventual outcome of the influences of the other cards.  Ace of Cups.  Love is the essence of this situation.  You must trust your inner voice and go with your gut reaction.  A seed of emotional awareness has been planted within you.  This card is strongly associated with the home and with the love and contentment that is found there.  It tells of a happy relationship, such as parenthood.  Lead with your heart and all will fall into place.

From reading your journal, it sounds reasonably on target, but how did it resonate with you?

I went to have my cards read once, the woman touched my hand and then went white, she told me she couldn't read them and asked me to leave........... 4 months later I had a nervous breakdown. Funnily enough, I never went back for another reading!

I'm sure it was for fun.  It's one of those things where if it's positive we like it and if it's not we don't believe in it anyway.  :)

Tarot Cards/readings is a ancient practice... Gypsies were just one group that became known for them ~ many ancient civilizations followed the reading of Tarot Cards... I find them fascinating and most of the time amazingly accurate :)  Yours sounds quite positive on the whole, that's a good thing :)  Hugz, Teresa

Tarot cards are fascinating. Never done it myself. Never want to know in advance what is going to happen. I just take life as it comes! Thanks for dropping by my journal and leaving such nice comments. Love Conniexx

Interesting. I do not know whether I believe in them or not. I once had mine done and none of what I was told ever came true.  Thanks for stopping by
