Safe and Sound

Good Morning Campers.

I am sorry I didn't post yesterday. The Tornado was 105 south west of us. We were under a Tornado watch and did lose Electricity for about 30 minutes and had 2 1/2 inches of rain and some pretty heavy wind but other than that we were fine. To be absolutely honest with you I did not hear about the devastation until much later in the day or I would have came on here and let you know I was okay. I apologize :-(

I was out the house by about 10 and didn't get back till later in the afternoon and didn't come online. I had a "me' day. Got my nails done and my hair cut and then hubby and I went out for our usual Friday night Mexican food and Margaritas. ;-)

My prayers go out to all the families involved. Florida is  used to the threat of Hurricanes but these Tornadoes can be just as deadly as proven Friday morning. One thing this did teach me is to have a battery operated radio handy..no use having warnings on the TV when your electricity goes out.

Have a wonderful weekend and again I am sorry if I worried you guys and I truly appreciate your concern.

So glad you're okay. We thought we had it bad with the winds a couple of weeks ago but we don't get anything like the toprnados you get out there.  B. x

Glad to hear all is well.  Your health and welfare is truly more important than any blog entry you might have missed.  I saw the devastation on the news.  Terrible about all the loss of life.  It does seem as though the whole world is kind of topsy turvy weather wise these days.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

I was wondering what part of Florida you lived.  My parents used to live in Deland, they are no longer living.  I've been wondering what their old place is like right now.  My thoughts and prayers have been with those in Florida.

So glad you are okay!  Yes, scary stuff... you should get one of those hand crank radios that they have... then you don't even need batteries!

be well,
Dawn

Well, this is the second time I've tried to send this comment.  I knew that you were okay, as I know Florida, but feel awful for those poor people in central FL.  Imagine if it would have hit Disney World and that lot!  I want one of your Girl's Day Out.  What fun!

Hugs,
Susie
