Busy day today...up at 4.30 to take my sons girlfriend to the airport because her parents didn't want to get up that early (?)..home for a quick shower then over to Jens to pick her up and take her daughter to school because her hubby was out of town in their only car...ran errands all day...had breakfast at Denny's...oh so bad for you but oh so good...
Another double murder suicide in our community..the third one in as many months...a sign of the times?? this one was a father who shot his daughter on her 23rd birthday then turned the gun on himself...so tragic..and you hear about that girl who threw her baby in the dumpster?? some days I just don't know..she could have left that child at any safe haven with no consequence but she chose to throw it away like trash.... this is why I don't watch the news..but tonight I was tired and sat down to hear all this...
Well that's going on in my head tonight...I'm tired so I'm going to call it a night and go read in bed...have a great weekend!!

Sounds like a busy day for you Lyn. 4:30am? Yikes. That's about what time I went to bed this morning. I'm terrible. I LOVE Denny's for breakfast. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE IHOP. We went to IHOP Wed & someone backed into my son's van. Mostly left paint transfer & a small crack in the paint. Then that afternoon a rather large plumbing truck across the street backed straight into the side of his van & caved in the quarter panel. They are totally paying for everything & furnishing him with a rental car. Thank God. If it's not one thing it's another. that was so nice of you to take your son's GF to the airport. Sounds like something a good Mom would do! And I know you are.

After that kind of day I do hope you got some good rest. The news itself would be stressful for sure. I cannot fathom why anyone would do either of those things. It does make one thankful for what we have. Take good care!
I don't like to watch the news either, for that exact reason. Sometimes it is just to depressing.
How very sad. In our local news there was the story of a 4-month old baby (one of twins) thrown across the room by his 18 year old father because he was crying. The mother was at work and the father was watching the twins. The other twin shows signs of having been abused too. The one thrown didn't make it. The boy's family says that he has had a history of violent outbursts. So very sad. One family member said she felt guilty because she knew it was a dangerous situation and didn't call in child services.
Wow that is some horrible news about the murder/suicide. It's hard to even let the mind ponder something like that. I love breakfast...so your IHOP-ing and Denny-ing sound good to me. I usually have something good on Saturday for breakfast, but it was cereal this morning. I was in the mood for milk. I dont' like milk but I'll eat it on cereal.
