Good Evening Campers...
How is everyone??
Well I discovered this morning that the hard freeze had caused a pin hole crack in the pipe that feeds our sprinkler system..I totally forgot about that pipe being exposed as it is above ground....luckily it's only a tiny hole and I have cut the water off to it and covered it with an old blanket and will get it fixed once the weather breaks....could have been so much worse...
Filled the car with gas (petrol)...it is creeping back up again..today it was $2.69 a gallon...
I am waiting on a CD to come in the mail so I can get my CEU's and get my license renewed..then I can look for a job...actually it doesn't have to be in the medical field but I need to keep my license up anyway...I just want a job that I look forward to going to and that will keep me busy and get me out the house...sounds easy enough huh?? ;-)
F.I.L. is home and doing okay..they got him a hospital bed which should help him keep his leg elevated..I don't know if I told you he has an Ulcer on his foot too and being a diabetic it is taking forever to heal...Hospice has not yet been contacted..he goes to his GP next week and I guess he will be the one to determine that...
Spoke to hubby via phone a couple of times over the weekend and today...he is doing okay..he gets pretty bored I think during his down time..no honey-do list...
;-)) they do have nice golf courses there though...
Well that's it for me again....
Take Care...

Glad it is a minor fix for your pipe. Hope your father in law is doing ok. I am wondering what the army is going to bring us. my husband has just started his enlistment process and it a bit scary
You are lucky you found the leak. You'd be having a big water bill otherwise. I'm sorry your FIL has that ulcer on top of everything else. I'll continue praying for him and hope he continues to get better too. What ever job you find I hope you like it. It does make a world of difference.
I'm glad your father in law is home once again. Has anyone suggested a wound vac? I had one when I had the infection in my c-section wound and the visiting nurse said that they are mostly used for elderly patients with diabetes. It helped my incision heal in a month or so rather than the 2+ it would have taken without the wound vac. My husbands insurance covered it as well as the visiting nurse that is nesessary to change the dressing every other day. Just a thought.
I hope you are able to find a job that you really like, hard as that can be.
Our gas is expensive and that is one reason that I try to stay home as much as I can. You don't want to know what Hubby spends on gas every week! I am glad that you FIL is doing good.

I'll be praying for your fil. Good luck with the job search!
i am sorry about the fil. it can be hard realizing it is time for hospice. I will have him in my prayers.
you are lucky about the small leak. up here, it would have been much worse.
take care
Glad you spotted the leak Lyn or you might have ended up with two swimming pools, even a small leak can soon cover a large area. It's not very nice when one is not happy at there job,so I pray you get something you realy love with a group who are your kind of people to work with.It would be great for you to meet nice new friends whilst hubby is away and get paid for being around them at the same time.Praying FIL can be pain free and his wound soon heals,in my prayers.Have a great Tuesday if possible.Take Care God Bless Kath xx
sorry about the frozen mishap with pipe, but at least it's above ground, & not in a wall in house!
hope you get your ceu renewed soon. glad fil is home, hospice is a wonderful org.
happy to hear you have spoken with hubby.
ty for visiting my blog & leaving a comment, our walmarts have layaway, at least mine does. lol i know from experience lol
also thanks for comment on my weight, still a looong way to go.
have a good day.
huggies...
Our petrol isn't just creeping up, it's ZOOMING! from £1.03/9 at Christmas to £1.07/9 by this past weekend - and we have the cheapest petrol in the country! 4pence in 2 weeks.
My husband was on call for property damage all weekend. His cell never stopped ringing. All the calls were for flooding from pipes busting due to the cold. You were lucky to find the leak before it turned into a big mess!
Gas is up to $2.75 by me...ugh..I hate it when I see that number going up again..lol..
Glad to hear that your FIL is home and doing better:)
Have a good week,
Sheri
