JUST ME...

Good Morning Campers!

I am happily sitting here with my cup of coffee..the heater in the Florida room is on..it is chilly here for us...about 35 degrees this morning...supposed to get even colder in the next few days..I am fine with that..we don't get much chance to wear "clothes" here..it's nice to dig out the jeans and sweaters and boots for the week or two a year we need them... ;-)

So my week so far?? pretty good..had the commute from hell yesterday..it was raining and that caused a bunch of accidents all over town which led to an 8 mile back up on the dreaded bridge I have to cross to get to work...took me well over an hour to go 13 miles...and guess who drank two cups of coffee before she left?? yep me! We were pretty busy all day yesterday and the day flew by..came home and had a grilled cheese and soup for dinner and watched American Idol...they held auditions here in Jacksonville this season..not sure what night those will air but you will get to see a little bit of my town..other than that not much going on in my neck of the woods...we are all excited for hubby's siblings flying in next week to surprise his dad for his 77th birthday..they have not all been together since their Mum died in 1997 so it's long overdue and hopefully will be a lot of fun...I say hopefully because there is a little tension between his sister and his oldest brother but hopefully they can act their age and not their shoe size for once!!

I hope everyone is having a good week...this is a funny time of year...the holidays are over..the weather is crappy and there doesn't seem to be a whole heck of a lot to look forward to really... I actually like this time of year...I am quite the homebody anyway and am quite happy snuggled up with a good book or a good movie...after the hustle and bustle of the holidays a little down time never hurt anyone...;-)

Till next time...

L xx

I'm glad you are enjoying the week off and that you don't mind a little cold. It's great that everyone will get to be with their Dad for his birthday. I hope too that they remember the reason for the visit and make it a great one for their Dad. Enjoy your
Wednesday and keep warm.

Cold? Put a minus sign in front of that 35 and that's what it feels like in the wind here, this morning!
Hope the birthday celebration goes smoothly-I like that saying-act their age not their shoe size....

Hi Lyn, It must be awful for you living in such a hot and sunny climate...lol! Seriously though, it must be nice to wear the Winter clothes. Why is it in bad weather some drivers never learn that they should drive more slowly...sigh.

If our living room temp gets as high as 25 degrees people start stripping off! In fact, they do if the OUTSIDE temp gets to 25, as it occasionally does in a good summer. We're having a heatwave at the moment as it's been 5 above today! Definitely good book weather.

Hope your family get-together goes well

Yeah I heard it'll get down to the thirties in the south. I can remember my brother living in Alabama and my nephew is the only kid who have a sled and the kids in their neighborhood were having a grand time. Now they're back here in NY. So it is going to be cold alright. 0 degrees here tonight and tomorrow. Stay warm and take care.Oh by the way have a good time at the family birthday gathering. Nancy

Trust me, I'm loving wearing the warm woolies here in the mountains! I didn't get to spend enough time in those comfy clothes last year.

Enjoy your time off! You should really go see my friend Whitney about some insurance!

Tonight with the windchill it's a
-20. Paul's been taking Pickles out because it's hard enough for me to breathe without that. Poor Pickles wants to romp but it's too cold for her.

I hope the surprise party goes off without a hitch.

I wouldn't mind being inside a few days..sigh...with the freezing temps, I'm going stir-crazy right along with Pickles. (Hugs)Indigo
