Happy New Year!!!

Good Morning Campers!!!

First off I wish each and everyone of you reading this a Happy and Healthy New Year!!

My 2nd post for 2009... ;-) I have spent the past half hour or so reflecting in my Blog...I used to write a lot more than I do now...in 2006 and 2007 I had over 200 posts..I think I was under a 100 in 2008...I hope to write more this year... as is the norm I am thinking of ways that I can improve my life for the upcoming year... I have the usual resolutions..lose weight...watch my temper...stay positive...focused..enjoy the everyday things and not to sweat the small stuff... but I think overall this year I just want to be grateful...not to take things for granted...just be happy for the time being..not to worry about the future or reflect on the past but live "in the moment"..take them as they come and enjoy each and every one of them for what they are.... ;-)

We did not go out last night..I cannot remember the last time we stayed in for New Years Eve...our friends were out of town and we just decided to stay in.. I really wasn't feeling 100% anyway and was happy not to have to get all dressed up and put on my "game" face...LOL.. so we ordered in Chinese food and played scrabble.. I won..of course..;-) we did see the new year in with a kiss and watched the fireworks from our pool deck..the street behind us was having a block party I guess and the fireworks were amazing ...we had the best view..;-) I heard my son and his rowdy friends seeing in the new Year from down the block...I was just happy they were all at someone elses house for a change...;-) It was a different celebration for us but I enjoyed it for what it was and did not waste my energy thinking of what I "ought" to have been doing .. I like this new way of thinking already...;-) The bonus is I have no hangover this morning and am ready to take down the Christmas decorations and clean the house and greet the new year with a happy healthy new attitude!!

What are you doing?? I am sure there is a lot of plunk plunk fizz (alka seltzer) happening the world over this morning...LOL

Lxx

I stayed home, warm and cozy. No wine...I guess my treat last night was a bowl of Ben & Jerry's New York Chocolate Chunk Fudge Ice Cream. What a nice treat that was : )

I wish you all goog things for 2009. Maybe we'll be able to met this year. Shelly & I are already making plans for our next trip to Nokomis, Honeymoon Islad or just lunch. Gotta wait for company to leave and the bustle of the holidays. I hope you might be able to make it. Wouldn't that be great?

hugs....

I LOVE this way of thinking! LOVE IT!! We stayed home too, but had some of our friends and a million teenagers here. I'm not hungover, but I am EXHAUSTED. Kids party WAAAAAY later than adults to. I think I got to bed at 5 am...and those that spent the night were sniffing for their promised pancakes at 9:30! They are all still here....and as soon as they leave I am putting on my pj's and staying in them ALL DAMN DAY!! (I never even GOT into the pj's last night...we had boys and girls spend the night so I slept in the computer room in my clothes to make sure there was no "co-mingling!" LOL)

So...I don't have a SLEEP hangover...I have a LACK OF SLEEP hangover!!!

((hugs))

HAPPY NEW YEAR, LYN!

I remember your many journal posts back in 06 and 07 and missed you very much in 08 and even lost track of you for a bit but so very glad you're back and I found you again. We didn't celebrate out either but stayed home. We don't have a tradition about it anyway. We didn't play games last night but have done it this week though. I love scrabble and we found our board last night. There will be a Scrabble game in the near future. We did play Risk though. I love that. Have a very happy NY!

XOXOXO

Happy New Year!
Scrabble, I love scrabble... haven't played in a long time!
I enjoyed a quiet(sort of) evening at home, but no one in our neighborhood had fireworks(how cool), course there's 2 feet of snow on the ground, that mgiht be why. And no plop plop fizz fizz needed here-I just sipped!
So.... here's to a year of living in the now, making it all count!

I have to agree. I made the decision very early during the day that I wasn't going out and stuck to it. I wasn't feeling like I should be doing 'something else'. Just had a great night with my friends. The way it should be :o) Glad you had a good time x

I stayed in and was asleep by 10pm. My hubby had to be at work at 2am so he was asleep. My daughter was at a sleepover. I really didn't mind bringing in the new year like that. I want to wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year.
