Tuesdays with Lyn

Good morning campers!!

Thanks to the divine miss D for the above tag..I miss you!!

Hope everyone is doing okay..things are plodding along this end..lots going on..hubby has left for a "business" trip..prayers for his safe return please...he is checking out berthing for his troops for their upcoming 6 month deployment....Ryan backed the golf cart into my car and dented my brand new flipping bumper from my own fender bender..it was so pretty and new too...Rachel is enjoying the new job although the training is getting a bit boring I think....she has passed all the tests so far..a few haven't so I am happy for her... I worked 12 hours yesterday with a 20 minute lunch break..a sandwich eaten at my desk and a quick walk around the block to get some air..we are beyond busy...it was an insane asylum yesterday...I was positively loopy by the end of the day and I am back today for more of the same....the pollen here has got to me..I am one big sneeze.. it's all I do..thank god for the drug sample closet  at work which I raided yesterday for some Claritin...

I hope all the UK Mums had a nice Mothers day yesterday..when is it in USA?..I need to check...I know Easter is early this year....oh before I forget..Jens DIL had her baby yesterday morning..a little girl..Staci..6lbs 12 oz..that was the baby shower I helped organize last week...congrats to all!!

okay I am off to make the beds and put a load of laundry in before work...have a great week..

Hi Honey!  12 hour day with a 20 min break, huh???  Must be the standard for medical practices world wide.....lol....  but the benefits are free drugs!!!  Hope the sneezes disappear soon and fingers crossed for hubbys safe return. Enjoy the rest of your week.

12 hours is a long day for sure.  It's nice to know there is polen in the air somewhere.  We the the frozen north will have a wait for that.  Take care and hope your day isn't quite as hectic today.  'On Ya' - ma

That IS a long day!  I'm sorry that Ryan dented your new bumper :( I'm happy Rachel passed her tests :)  As far as allergies and pollen?  I'm lucky <crossing fingers and toes> that I don't have hardly any allergies, whereas Cindy? She has terrible one's, esp. in the early spring and late summer with the ragweed...and there is LOTS of ragweed here ~ and goodness, when they start cutting the hay??? can we talk sneeze marathon?  it's a wonder her poor nose doesn't fall off of her face LOL.  Hope you have a good day/week. Hugz* Teresa

Glad to hear from you!  12 hour day!  Yikes.  Is the flu the big thing going around your area?  It seems to be here.  A few weeks ago lots of counties had closed down schools because of it.
Rest up and take your Claritan (miracle drug!).

Good to hear everyone is doing well.  Keeping positive thoughts for your husband and the troops.

Just the other day my daughter was asking me if I called my mom, mum while I lived in England.  In answer, no, it was always mom.  I have NO clue when mothers day is around here!

Ya know it's a little hard for me to feel sorry for you today with your cute little beach graphic. ::G::  It's not cold here today but sooooooooo miserable ... and we are on constant storm watch that thankfully never happens.
So sorry about your bumper ... there is something about the first ding in a new car that just stops your heart.  :o(
BTW it's a real shame they spelled that babies name wrong.  ::vbeg::

I don't know about where you live but there is something nasty going around out here. So far I have kept it away from my family. Don't work to hard. I just know that your husband will be fine.

The fender bender.  I remember when I was younger and my parents had left the house going somewhere, and I was then leaving but they had forgotten something and were pulling into the driveway as I was pulling out.  I wasn't expecting anyone to be pulling into the driveway so I start back out and the next thing I know I get run into by my dad.  Their car had damage and mine didn't since mine was a '73 Gran Torino and there's was a small car.  Dumb huh?  Anyway, have a good week.

Hope all goes well for Hubby. Poor you with the hayfever, it's hard to imagine it as here at present as we are having -4 degrees C overnight. I'm fed up of having to de-ice the car every morning. On the plus side we're getting sunny days but very chilly.

Hello Lyn, from Alberta Canada

I think one should have journal friends all over the world and did not see one from my country.
Hope you are feeling better these days...and being your are in the "sunshine state" that should not be hard...come up to my place and look at 2 feet of snow if you want to feel yukky or do some FANTASTIC spring skiing.

Take care and stop in some time to say hello.
