Thanks for the prayers for my FIL..he is in the hospital right here in town and that pic was taken yesterday via mobile phone. They have done blood cultures on him and now we are just waiting to see what they reveal. He has a problem aspirating his food and is supposed to have all his liquids mixed to the consistency of honey but he does not follow this ..he tries but even I have to admit it must be hard...he has so many things wrong with him I think at this point he just wants to enjoy what time he has left....I am glad to report he was in much better spirits last night and looking slightly less yellow...
Not much else to write about really..hubby and I had a wonderful day yesterday walking around the historic Avondale area of Jacksonville..we had lunch outside and people watched...the houses in the area are stunning...million dollar plus on the river...the shops are quaint but pricey... it was a gorgeous day...low 70's...my son is camping with his friends at the beach and True Beauty has to work today but I am cooking a roast chicken for supper with all the trimmings and of course they each got some choccy for Easter... I intend to spend the day out by the pool reading..hubby is off to play golf with his cronies... ;-)

Happy Blessed Easter, Hope your father in law improves, thickened liquids always looked difficult to me, when you want a cold glass of water does it taste the same? Your walk sounded lovely.

The only time I was in Jacksonville was when I was moving to Tampa Bay. I had to go to the State Licensing Bureau to get my Nursing license. that was a Friday and I was starting work in Tampa on Monday! I think all the licensing is done out of Tallahassee now. The area the state office was in seemed nice. It was right ont the river. but, it was one of those stops where I went off the highway, got where I had to go and back on the highway. I wish that I had had the time to visit Jacksonville & St. Augustine.

Hi Lyn. Sorry I haven't been by lately. I've not been a very good blogger. Sorry to hear about your FIL I hope he is on his way to a swift recovery. I know how that is, my MIL had pneumonia several times from aspirating her food.
Thank God winter is over (I HOPE) and we are on our way to pool weather..however ours looks more like a mud bottom with all the dust storms we've had the past month. Cannot wait till the cotton starts to come up so the dust stops. (It's pretty flat & pretty rural even for a city of well over 200,000. LOL) Happy Belated birthday to True Beauty. I'm assuming that is her BF in the photos. My 27 yr old son is STILL look for Miss Right. He has beautiful daughters in dire need of a female presence in their lives (other than me. LOL). Enjoy the pool and keep your fingers crossed for us to get some rain.

I'm glad to hear that your FIL is a little better. I'm also glad he is right where he is supposed to be so that they can watch him as sick as he is. Aspirating is lifethreatening for sure but it must be awful to eat pureed food.
It sounded like you two had a 'just us' memorable day. I'm so glad for you all.
