Monday morning..

Good morning Campers!!

Pretty chilly here this morning..I have yet to put the heat on because it will be in the 70's later .. not to mention I hate the smell when you first turn these forced air heaters on...gross!! The kids want the heat on..I told them to put some clothes on...LOL..

I haven't wrote a real post since I went to Savannah...it was incredible...the drive up was nice because the weather was picture perfect...we arrived at 11.30..checked in to our hotel which was very quaint and exactly how I pictured it...we dumped out bags..changed into shorts and hit River Street..wow! there was a street market going on as well as a seafood festival...first stop was Kevin Barry's Irish pub for a pint of cider...;-) then we spent the day wandering around the market...sampling the food and candies...had a frozen daiquiri from Wet Willy's..they were amazing....had lunch at the same Irish pub..more browsing around...went over to City market..a quaint little square full of shops..then it was back to the hotel for a quick nap...got showered and changed..had a drink in the hotel bar then hit the streets again..it was very festive and everyone was in high spirits...a definite party atmosphere..we watched a lot of street performers..some fish throwing...crazy sailors climbing the tall ships...just a lot of good fun...we finished the night back in the pub listening to Irish music..there were some young lads shipping out the next day and it bought a tear to my eye..they were getting pints bought for them and lots of good luck slaps on the back...we crashed early..around midnight..we had an extra hour in bed due to the clocks going back so after the free continental breakfast we were on the road home by 9.30am..it was a wonderful fun filled weekend and just what I needed..I plan on taking hubby back there for a different kind of a weekend...;-)

Last week was pretty uneventful except for the election! wow! Like I said a day we will never forget....I went to the school to talk about Ryan's last IEP..this is his senior year and we are all on the same page which is to see Ryan graduate with his class this year...he has had some attendance issues which I hopefully have a handle on now...let's just say Ryan and I had a prayer meeting and his world has changed completely..so far he is seeing things my way.... ;-)

Cadet ( my Yorkie) got a much needed hair cut....I cleaned the carpets..did a little Christmas shopping..went to the Library....spent some time outside enjoying the cool but sunny weather...Yesterday I went to church..this is my third time at this new one..l am liking it more and more....that's pretty much it...counting the days till hubby gets home...;-)

have a great week everyone...

Special shout out to Donna...wishing you a speedy recovery and all the very best..you are loved and missed so much!!!!! say hi to Nancy...;-)

L xx

Good Morning! I loved Savannah and can't wait to go with Paul. I think my only disappointment was with Paula Deen's restaurant. Hope Ryan stays focused so things go as they should.

I haven't turned the heat on yet either...but unlike you I like that smell from the first time the furnace fires up! Isn't that funny. I have used the heat in the car on a couple mornings but like you said it warms up later so I just throw on a sweatshirt or something around the house.

Lyn! Shame on you! You know how horrid England is this time of year. Well, all of this year actually. And you STILL call 70 degrees chilly. We never crept much above that in the middle of summer!

love, Angie, xx

The little nap you had in the afternoon is known in my world as a disco nap. One has a 'disco nap' before going out dancing in the evening.
