HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Good Morning Campers!!
How is everyone this morning? Ready for the ghouls and goblins to come knocking on your door tonight?? ;-) I have 2 bowls of candy ready...I am thinking seeing as it's friday night we may have more than usual come through here...

I have had another pleasant week..nothing too much to report hence the lack of entries..not much to write about. Went to the base yesterday and stocked up again...can't believe it had been 3 weeks already since my last trip...I think Thursdays must be retirees day.. I even had one guy riding an electric scooter ask me how I got in there...I asked him what he meant and he said he thought you had to have grey hair to get in !!! LOL ...

I am going to Savannah tomorrow..I am so excited! I have never been..we are going to the street market and shopping during the day and then to the pubs at night..staying at the Ellis Inn and returning Sunday morning..should be a lot of fun....

We broke all records this week here in Jacksonville weatherwise.. First time we have had a freeze in october in over 100 years! personally I love the cold weather and have enjoyed wearing jeans and a sweater...it's back to normal again now...cold mornings but sunny days in the low 70's.

Well this entry is pretty boring I know so I shall say TTFN.. have a great weekend everyone and goodbye forever to J Land..I hope that we can maintain the community spirit here in Blogville....as much as I hate change I am glad you guys are still here..they may have shut down J Land but as you see they can't shut US down....

L xx

I think I feel sick though, so I'm not sure if I'll make it into work (cough, cough, ugh)

Yep. You hit the nail on the head. All of the old people were floating a check. retirement and disablitity (did I spell that right?) checks come in on the first.

I should head to base, but we live about 45 from there. I think I have to go next week.

You're gonna LOVE Savannah! I did a few gigs there many years back on Market street. It's one of those places where I felt good enough to be able to live there. Lot's of History, too.

I'm jealous your trick or treaters come on Halloween. Ours came on Tuesday. The town council thinks it's "safer." I don't get it.

I very much enjoyed my stay in Savannah this past summer. So much fun! We did one of the walking ghost tours and the amount of history our guide passed along was really good (as well as the stories). Enjoy!

Your entry is not boring...ever :) I didn't have one single trick or treater. But we usually don't in this neighborhood because of living in the country, in the middle of Las Vegas...LMAO! I did go volunteer for a bit at the hospital and it was great. And just as I nodded off, I got the phone call that I have a brand new grand daughter!!! She was born 3:30 AM, Nov. 1st, 7lbs, 8 ounces (I think) and her name is Kylie Marie. Being a Grandma twice is FANTASTIC! You just wait :)

Miss you lots.
Huggers,
Gayla

Hi Lyn,

Finally trying to get to grips with this new place and set up my Alerts.

We had a great Halloween, must have had at least 40 Trick or Treaters and all so well dressed up and Isabella came to stay the night, on her broomstick! Love it!!

We had the cold weather here too. Snow in October!! Hope you had a good weekend.

Linda xx.
