Good Morning Campers!!
It's a lovely chilly morning here in Florida..our tree is up and the outside decorations are done..the lights are up..today I just need to finish hanging ornaments on the tree and decorate the Florida room. As you know I love Christmas but I'm afraid my hubby is an old scrooge..he really upset me Sunday because he didn't even want to put up lights this year because we are going to England...BUT...we don't leave until the 21st of December!! I want to enjoy the warmth and coziness of my house all decorated...so he and Ryan hung the lights outside but when I went out to look they had just thrown them up..it looked awful..I was so mad! I had to get out of there before I lost it totally...I just don't understand sometimes..I don't ask for a lot..I do absolutely everything around here..if I could hang the lights myself I would have...sometimes I think my husband is really really selfish...he has gotten worse over the years...for the most part i just roll with it but my feelings were hurt Sunday..anyway moving on the house looks great and I am happy...:-)
Only 3 weeks till we go to England..I am really excited..hoping for some snow..ready to visit all my family..do some sight seeing and enjoy all the things I miss from home...the last time we all went as a family was in 2006 and it was marred by our house being broken into..we have since got an alarm system and one of Lester's friends is going to be house sitting..he got divorced and is living in an RV at the moment so I think he will enjoy being in a house for Christmas..he has children too so it will nice for them too..more room...
Things are going well at my job..working retail this time of year is crazy but fun...I am glad I am only doing part time that's for sure..
Hope all is well with you and yours...I am loving the AOL JLand group on FaceBook..maybe I will blog more now...:-)
Thanks for reading... L xx

My hubby isn't big on decorating either. I pretty much do it myself. I've started getting icicle lights that are hung on inside of windows with suction cups. They look awesome. I'm glad you will be able to enjoy all your decorations before you leave. We had our first snowfall here today. I have a 101 fever, sore throat, etc. so I stayed inside and watched it fall. I hope you get your White Christmas back home in England. Take care.
Todd is an old humbug too Lyn. You are not alone. He would rather I put up my decorations on Christmas Eve and take them down on Boxing day. I can feel your excitement about your trip. I hope it all goes well! xxoo
I've always thought it would be fun to work part time retail through the Christmas season also! Glad you are enjoying it! We have the inside decorated but my hubby and the boys also do the lights outside each year and this year hubby is working on a big side job... so it waits. Son is in wrestling every night...so it's slow going... and they dread doing it. I wish they would put the lights up just before Thanksgiving every year. I always have to sort of give them a push to get it done LOL.
For years now it's just been me decorating around here but I need to do it just for me...anyway I'm glad you are going to be able to make the trip home. It's good that you will have a house sitter while you are away. These weeks will fly by and before you know it Christmas will be here.
I can't imagine how excited you must be about going home and seeing family. Thanks for adding the email option. It really does make reading blogs much better. Just like with J-Land. Have a good day!
Hey Lyn :) .. Sorry hubby is acting like a butt. I know what that is like when it comes to men :-(
It's so cool you are going to England for Christmas. Have tons of fun!!
The trip is making me excited. It is one I want to treat Sherry to one day. I love England, the cities and country side.
I know you will have a great time with friends and family.
Love from central florida!!!
Don't be tough on us guys, decorating is not our best suit.
I don't start decorating until December 6th, as there is another feastday on my calendar on the 5th. Have a good journey on the Solstice!
Freakin men!~
I fully expect the guys to put up our tree this weekend and like your hubby, it will not be done right!
sometimes it pisses me off that in order to get something done right and NOW, we have to do it ourselves. So not fair.
I hope you have a really lovely time in England.
