Morning!

Good Morning Campers!!

I was going to add some pics to this bland blog but blogger ain't having it so never mind.

This post will all over the place but that's okay...that's how my head is these days.. the Tsunami/Earthquake this weekend did a number on me..Hubby lives in Guam..he did live in Japan for 6 months..we are going to Hawaii next month for a holiday..all of this is just a little too close for comfort for me but hubby assures me we will be okay...I am trying not to let it put a damper on my excitement... I have stopped looking at the constant news coverage but I will say that Japan is handling this whole catastrophe with quiet calm and dignity and respect for their fellow sufferers...nothing like the way the animals acted in New Orleans... just saying.. and I am not turning a blind eye to what is happening I just need not work myself up to the point where this hard earned holiday hubby has planned for us isn't ruined by me panicking..

I had a wonderful weekend by the way..spent most of it outside puttering in the garden..re-potting all my containers and hanging baskets..cleaned the pool..filled the bird feeders...and of course read by the pool :-) And thanks to putting out clocks forward I can actually be out there till about 7.30pm now...I love this time of year...

Speaking of reading if you like a good Beachy read I recommend Elin Hilderbrand..I have been reading her all weekend..her books are mostly set in Nantucket..her characters fly off the page and become instant friends..I can picture myself hanging out with these people... that's how a book should make you feel..like you are meeting an old friend when you turn the pages...

Well enough of my prattle this morning..hope everyone is well and enjoying some spring like weather...I'm hoping to get to the beach again this week..oh and I just heard that my Dad is coming over when my best friend from England comes in October..she is such a love to bring him because he won't travel on his own..can't say as I blame him..he is turning 78 after all bless him...

How nice that your dad is coming over to visit you Lyn. My mom is 78 as well and she would never come and visit me. She hates to fly. In fact none of my family has come to visit me, only two of my sons and I had to pay for their tickets! You are so blessed that friends and family want to come and spend time with you! I'm praying that you receive some comfort and peace about your upcoming holiday! xxoo

You are right to turn off the news and not let it spoil your trip. Life is for living and we must take it one day at a time. I'm so looking forward to days where I too can work outside and freshen things up. Thanks for the tip about the book. I've been looking for something new to read so I'll have to see if I can find those books. You know I love the beach. It's wonderful too that your Dad and best friend are coming for a visit. You certainly have lots of good things to look forward to. I hope your Wednesday is a great one .

I think it is a good idea to stay aware of what is going on around you. But don't let it ruin your trip to Hawaii... I'm glad you had a good weekend and even happier to hear your dad will be visiting!!

Don't be apprehensive about your trip with your hubby, it'll ruin the fun. The odds of this catastrophe happening again are small. I'm glad your dad is going to come for a visit later in the year. That will be nice for you. I just started to read HOUSE OF DAUGHTERS/ HOUSE OF PEINE. And I recently bought the Elin Hilderbrand book THE ISLAND and was looking to order SILVER GIRL. Now I will. Thanks for the recomendation. Keep reading.

Oh a holiday with the hubby!!! Great and in Hawaii, I know you will forget any anxiety and have a great time.
Wonderful that dad is traveling over. 78 isn't old, I am headed close that way! And I want to make one more trip to the UK and take Sherry, she has never been. We will be touching 78 about then.

When there is a catastrophe we are all reminded that we don't know what tomorrow will bring..
I've heard that there isn't the looting and thug behavior that we have witnessed here..Very respectful.
Glad you're enjoying being outside..
We're getting there..lol..we should hit 60 today..
Enjoy,
Sheri

"I can picture myself hanging out with these people... that's how a book should make you feel..like you are meeting an old friend when you turn the pages..." That is exactly how I feel. I'll have to check her out. Now that it's getting warmer I like books like that to read while I'm sitting outside. I've been reading heavy stuff lately. That is so nice that your friend is bringing your dad over. I hope he has a wonderful trip. It is amazing how the Japanese are handling this trouble, isn't it? I'm glad your husband is okay, and I'm sure your vacation will be just fine too.
