Good Morning Campers!!
I really need to write in this blog more often huh?? Can't believe it's been over a week..oh well..what can I say?
Lots going on here..most of it not very exciting I'm afraid...let's see..
My father in laws wife does have breast cancer and will be having surgery this week...and she is definitely going to be having radiation and/or chemo...
My best friend in UK Di has thyroid cancer..she has had her thyroid removed..we are waiting on the pathology report to find out if it is secondary to her breast cancer and if they got it all ..
My father in law was admitted to the hospital over the weekend with cellulitis in his leg..he is home now though...
And good old Murphy has taken up residence at the Hatfield household...the toilet is leaking...the automatic pool cleaner is not working..my computer keeps freezing.. and my car is making a funny noise....
Despite all that is going on I am actually in a good frame of mind and plodding along...I have been reading a lot and watching movies..the dog days of summer are here and we have been having some terrific thunderstorms each afternoon...I managed to get a couple of hours in here and there between storms by the pool so that made me happy...;-) Jen and her family invited me over for July 4th..we had a lovely day..we let off fireworks by the lake..and of course I ate too much....
Hubby is doing okay ...his life is no picnic either and we will both be happy when this tour is over...
My yorkie has turned into a hunter..he keeps catching lizards..snakes and his latest a damn bird!! My son thinks this is fabulous and is keeping score..he is 0-4 with snakes...LOL..yesterday he ate a bloated dead frog that I had just removed from the pool...grossed me out and made him sneeze like the dickens..
I swapped with another MA at work this week so I shall be working today and Thursday..we are not very busy at work though..guess everyone is too busy to be sick...;-)
I did reset my alerts and it seems to have helped and while I may not be getting them all I am certainly getting more...to the tune of 300 in my inbox...;-) I am starting fresh this week though..300 intimidates me...
I shall leave you with my five...I have been slacking in the gratitude department and with all that is happening to my friends and family I realize I have a lot to be grateful for...
1. my health...
2.. Great movies and books to while away a thundery summer afternoon..
3... My computer has not froze yet this morning..maybe I "fixed" it...
4.... My mood has improved...;-)
5..... All of you readingthis..I will get to your journals sooner or later..bare with me..;-)

i HATE to read of the things going on with Lester, your MIL, Di, and your FIL. I will pray for them all. I hate it too when everything seems to break or go screwy all at once! Phooey. I hope the car is ok....going without a car SUCKS!
Glad you had a good 4th!! Sounds like work has slowed a bit too....you go right ahead and enjoy your summer and think of me when you are laying by that pool!

Glad that at least you got some pool time in. It was pretty hot here yesterday and I had the campsite to clean up so didn't make it to the pool. It would have felt great I'm sure. I'm back to work with a full 5 days this week. Take good care!

When it rains it falls it seems... I hope everyone that is of your family and beyond heals with good grace, I'm sorry that it is all happening to them and you. I'd be loving the thunderstorms LOL ~ I'd be happy, happy!! the thing is usually tornados are triggered by those said thunderstorms, it's scary those suckers just drop out of the sky with no warning, not used to that ~ in Oregon you RARELY got a tornado in the NW section. Wind? yes...tornados? nope.
About your computer? check the registry and see if there is a program running...
Go to Windows Explorer ~ go to program files ~ go to Windows ~ double click on Windows ~ a pop up will come up and say "these are program files are you sure you want to etc. etc." click yes ~ go down through the list and look for a file called System32 ~ double click System32 ~ when it opens if there are any files in blue, or has $$ signs in them ~ those files are from a virus called "Shell Virus" ~ this virus causes programs to run BEHIND the one's you are wanting to run and will cause your computer to freeze, lock up and run slow. ~ you can't get rid of it unless you have a REALLY, REALLY good virus cleaner, only thing you can do is get another hard drive :( or take it down to a repair place and pay them to get rid of it. :( :(

Note: the files in blue are extremely suspect files & most probably contain the virus if you open them, the files with the $$ signs ARE the virus.
I'll be praying for all those health issues. Glad work is going good and slow though. How much longer of deployment do you guys have? We're down to 13 1/2 months!!

Yorkies are great little hunters, orig breed to catch rats & small game. So his ancestory is coming out in him. LOL
I've lost many readers due to them not getting any alerts from me. :( I keep telling people to visit once in awhile & reset their alerts while there.

Well it's about damn time!! (LOL!!!) Sorry, I know, life gets in the way. I think those Yorkies are so cute but if I get another dog my husband will kick me out....especially since I don't even really LIKE dogs!! (ROFL) Sounds like everyone is ill by you...and that is no fun! I say hang out by the pool and relax.....forever.....(lol)

Murphy is the cause of alot of bedlam in your home and mine. My internet server has decided I can't come on as often as I like. I'm having the agrument with them as to why I'm paying for their service if I can never used it...Thinking in any degree in the heat is tiring.
The cats bring Pickles dead things all the time too. I'll be ready to come in the house and turn around and find her with something sticking out of her mouth, she doesn't want to give it up after all it's a dead thing...ugh...

I am sorry to hear all of this too. And you sound like you are in such a good mood! Those diagnosis' are hard to bare. I'll keep you all in my prayers. NOw you stay alright please. Your dog is so funny. Glad he didn't get one of those poisonous psychedelic frogs crazy people lick. It could've killed him. That was really gross though. I'm glad you have a pool. I don't know how you'd bare the Fla. heat without it.

Well Lyn, seems people in your orbit will go thru the inevitable health attendences. My brother had his thyroid removed, lives just fine. It's odd, I notice many times in life when things start piling up, our moods get more relaxed and even happy (can that be lol?) maybe a defense mech of the brain.
