Hi, Lisa Jo sent me over.  I live in Connecticut, one of the more expensive states in New England, so the prices are different than the other US States:

Gas:  $2.91
Loaf of Bread:  $1.50 (only at Walmart though, usual cost at grocery store $1.99)
Gallon of Milk:  $2.99 (again, only at Walmart, usual cost at grocery store $3.29)
Median House in my neighborhood:  $200,000 and that is considered a "starter home"
Electricity Bill:  $250 per month in Summer $180 in Winter
Phone:  $40 (all inclusive package with long distance free)
AOL:  I got a deal for $6.95 per month
Cable:  $200 per month (includes cable modem for computer charge each month through local cable company of $40 per month)
School Lunch:  $2.50 per day x 2 children, soon to be 3 children in school
Box of Cereal: $4.99!!!  (but I buy it at Walmart for $2.50, limited varieties there though)
State Tax:  6%
Property Tax:  Different in each Town/City, we pay $3,000 per year for the house
Movie Tickets:  $10.50 unless it's a matinee which is $5.50

Pretty crazy huh?
Hugs and love,
Lisa

Have to say this:  Before I started paying GOD HIS tithe faithfully
I NEVER COULD make ends meet.  Things happened all the time that there just wasn't money to cover.
Finally after struggling (years) to be faithful, I prayed to GOD and asked HIM to forgive me and to help me to always Tithe and not mess up anymore...for HIM to do it through me.
Now, it's so different...almost automatic, and the blessings!
We have moved from a trailer to a nic
