Here I am

Here I am. Ryan had a great birthday. He had a bunch of his friends over, they swam and chilled out by the pool, ate pizza and wings and hot dogs. His best friend even stopped by. I haven't written about him yet. His name is Brandon and he has Leukemia. As with a lot of things that are painful for me I just can't write about it.  Brandon has had a stem cell transplant. They could not find a donor match so he got transplant from the cord bank. He is doing better. Ryan has had an absolutely terrible time dealing with this. We all have. This kid is like one of my own. Wherever Ryan was Brandon was..and now he's not and it breaks everyone's hearts. That is as much as I can write about Brandon but for him to make the special trip to come see Ryan on his birthday touched us all. He couldn't even get out of the car but he made the effort and Brandon I love you for that..you are such an incredible kid and I pray with every ounce of faith that I have that you will kick this thing..I have to believe.

So it's Friday and I am off!! Yay!  I have a few errands to run and then I plan to top up my tan by the pool. I am missing the hubby..I can't believe it's only been 2 weeks..good lord do we have along way to go!! One of the Dr's I work for had her baby..Annabelle Claire, 8lb 12oz by C section.  Mother and baby doing well. Baby is gorgeous...<sigh>

It's hot..feels like it's been a long summer already and it's not even "summer" technically! I thought I was used to the heat but even I am dragging. we need some decent rain ..and I mean bad..the threat of fires is very real... not to mention the cost of watering all the time... but it's the price we pay for living in paradise I guess ;-)

Well that's all from me..I will put some pics up soon...sorry I haven't been commenting much... I read EVERY alert but can't always comment..especially if I "sneak" a read in at work  ;-) I hope everyone has a great weekend..and stay cool to my Florida sistas... ;-)

I`m really pleased that Ryan had a great birthday and that Brandon came to see him,  I do hope he makes a full recovery from that dreadful illness.   Living in paradise eh?   All that sunshine, how can you bear it...lol! :o)

That must have been wonderful to see Brandon.  Cancer is a horrible thing.  My neighbor's child is fighting neuroblastoma right now.  He is doing well but the survival rate for his particular brand is not good.
Have a tan for me!  Swim for me while you are at it!

I'm praying for Brandon. My daughter died from AML leukemia (there are different types). I pray that Ryan spends as much time with him as possible, no matter what happens then there's no regrets.

Glad that Ryan had a great birthday.

I can hardly find the words to comment here. I got so emotional reading that entry. The way he had to stay in the car but came to see him anyways...
Life can be so sad sometimes....it puts everything into perspective.

God be with Brandon. I wish him all the best.
